Great service and delicious food. This restaurant could easily charge three times more for their dishes and they really are very good. Nothing to fault

Visited Montecatini Terme and stayed in Hotel Ercolini & Savi. This restaurant is situated in the hotel. Even though we visited under Covid conditions the staff were great and tried to make things as normal as possible. The food however was not normal it was...fantastic. We went back a second time to have completely different food. The first visit was all about fish which was excellent and the second time was the meat. Both visits did not disappoint. Excellent menu and wine.More

Our group was treated to dinner at La Pecora Nera while staying at the attached hotel. The dining room is elegantly decorated and was able to easily accommodate our large group of 40. There is also a lovely patio area, but the weather did not...allow us to venture outside during our meal. The dinner was absolutely delicious and served over several courses. The staff were very efficient and polite but did not hover or seem to rush diners. You can preview the menu in the hotel lobby. Prices were in line with this being a high end, fine dining establishment.More

We loved it so much we went back a second time. The food is excellent. The appetizer of the Duck Pate is like nothing you have ever tasted. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The décor is comfortable but upscale. Wine selection...whether by the glass or bottle is excellent. Portion sizes are good. Try to leave room for dessert. If you went to a similar restaurant in the USA it would cost you three times as much, be noisy and they'd be rushing you out.More

The restaurant is unpretentious but beautiful. The staff attentive and knowledgeable but the star of the show is the FOOD. The tuna was one of the better ones we have ever had. Don't miss the fish in salt crust, perfectly done, perfectly deboned at the...table and accompanied by exquisite sauces. The arancini were gourmet. And leave room for dessert. We had the chocolate bomb which was an explosion of flavor. We spent three weeks travelling in Italy, including Sardinia with its exquisite cuisine, but hands down, this was the best meal we had all trip. Five stars!More

This is rated as the one of the best, and the food and service is certainly of a very high standard. The food is probably the best in Montecatini, and is of a very high standard. The restaurant is lovely, and the service is superb....It could be a more exciting meal event, as it is a bit older, as you might expect with top classMore

We visited here in May when the season was just starting so if it had not been for a large party associated with a conference in town it would have been a little thin on atmosphere. However the standard of table setting, service and menu...was excellent. A friend and I shared a beefsteak on the bone which was very good but you need a substantial appetite for that dish! When weather warmer there is an outside terrace with tables but there is traffic passing up the one way street.More

We have come to Tuscany to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. He used to work for a Michelin chef and we like to eat at fine dining restaurants on special occasions. When I booked several months ago I included the fact it was for a...birthday celebration. To be honest I wasn’t sure if the restaurant would make an effort. So I emailed two days ago to ask. I received a reply to confirm the kitchen had been informed and there would be a special effort made at dessert. There wasn’t any effort and the whole service was cold and unwelcoming. My rating may seem unfair as the food was as expected but I am very sad at the level of service and hospitality. There are a good many restaurants in Montecatini that are warm and welcoming. I certainly would not recommend La Pecora Nera.More
