The location is perfect to watch the sunset and the windmills. I haven't tried the restaurant but stay away from the bar! The bartender was rude and the spritz was even worse!

This is a great place to watch the salt beds and dream about what happened in the 8th century BC when Phoenicians arrived to colonise the island of Mozia opposite but make sure you get here before the regular Mozia ferry arrives otherwise you'll be swamped as the crowd moves aimlessly around the tables. What to have: there's only one... More
Mamma Caura is a convenient spot to grab lunch while visiting the salt flats. The staff are friend,y but it was difficult to get their attention to order then to pay the bill. The fresh pasta is really good and worth ordering. My husband ordered a beef filet that arrived seared on the outside and raw on the inside. When... More
If you're going to Mozia and want something to eat before or after, this is a good choice. The menu is normal for the area. This spot is very popular with tourists, so the staff gets a little tired at times. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but when we returned from a morning walking around... More
Mamma Caura lives off its superb postcard location, facing the sunset over the lagoon and the saltpans and windmills. Diners and drinkers gather well ahead of sunset, and it is packed like a sardine can at weekends - once the burning orb has dropped below the horizon, many photo-snappers simply evaporate into the night. There are few greater pleasures than... More
This may be just a bit tricky to find but who cares if you get turned around....Your in Sicily under the sun on the sea and life is going to be perfect once you find it. Very charming. Absolutely fresh fish. An enjoyable afternoon.
We love this restaurant and have now eaten here 3 times. The crowd is fun to watch and the view of the salt pan and windmill is perfect. I prefer to choose a fish from the day's catch then have it grilled. The staff fillets it nicely and you are off and running. The parking lot sneaks up on you... More
I had my aperitif in a crowded setting, with people waiting for a table standing at half a meter from you, staring at you, counting your bites and hoping you would finish soon. The issue is that the staff does not accept reservation, and people without a table gather everywhere around the table, and unfortunately also between you and the... More
After visiting the Mothia island and missing the visit to the saline, since we were at the end of a very long travelling day, we found the extreme courtesy and sympathy of the lady that owns and run this bar and adjacent restaurant. We were on the rush of catching our return flight home, ans she was very kind to... More
