We recently stopped by and this place is great! Food is good and is super busy. The longest cue was for the food order, around 20 minutes, and then you need to look at the spot to sit down. A simple suggest, leave one person of your group take the table during the rest order. We had fantastic ribs and... More

Speck Stube is a German beer garden style restaurant in Bardolino. It has a large wood burning grill and so specialises in various barbecued meats. We ordered a mixed grill and got a HUGE platter of meat with chicken, pork, ribs and sausage. Realistically, while they advertise it for 2 people minimum, it could easily feed a family of 2... More

Don’t get me wrong I would die for great Italian food any day – just not every day! And so Speck Stube presented itself as a beautiful, biergarten dinner option away from the hustle, bustle of the more traditional restaurants in Riva, Limone and Malcesine. What we discovered was simply great food… with a perfect change of setting, pace and... More

Popped in this evening for a few beers and a bite to eat. Lovely service and very reasonable prices. Quick service and nice atmosphere. Food fresh and the platters are huge. We shall return. A nice relaxed change from heavy menus and lots of courses.

visited here in June with a group of 10 family and friends. At €15 for chicken, chips and a beer it's a decent price. However the food is so dry and SO salty. Also the bread that came with my meal was rock solid. Personally I didn't like the conveyor belt type of getting your food and having it on... More

Came here for lunch a few days ago, nice sunny day and it was busy! I was looking forward to some German fare and was disappointed to learn there were only a few options of the day. In saying that the roast chicken was really nice and juicy, well cooked! Was just hoping for some spätzle rather than the boring... More

We went to the one in Malcesine as we were based here and it's apparently the original one as others in for example Limone and Bardolino were opened later and to be fair the food is very good. We were all pasta'd out after 3 days of eating in Italian restaurants and we fancied what was on offer here. Basically... More

Located right in the middle of a one-hectare green area, the restaurant is just out of Malcesine, far from the town bustle, in total harmony with the surrounding nature. In our restaurant you can sit down at wide wooden rustic-styled tables to taste wood-fired spit-roasted meat in the shade of the olive trees, which frame this heavenly corner. We are open from March to October, every day from noon to midnight. The kitchen closes at 11 p.m. With outdoor tables, and two heated halls, we allow our customers to find the place that suits them most. In summertime, the breeze blowing from Mount Baldo cool down the hottest days. And if you look out from the outdoor tables, you can see Lake Garda on the horizon. In our restaurant, you can have a fast meal, you can spend the whole afternoon with your family, or enjoy a tete-a-tete dinner with your lover… Your choice.
