Simply fantastic!
Gelato and granita siciliana are amazing.
They offer many flavours to choose from. It’s our daily treat: gelato and/or granita.
You can really taste the fruit and the ingredients they use to make them. Highly recommended.

We had a yogurt at this ice cream shop, it's spectacular!
The quality of the yogurt is stellar, as are the sauces, fruit and grains with careful research into the high quality of the raw materials.
Hospitality and kindness also reign supreme in this place... in short, everything is perfect. If you happen to be in Lerici I recommend everyone to stop by for a yogurt or ice cream at Papavera.

Terrible hygienic conditions, sales assistant wearing jewelry and loose hair, touching money, mouth, hair, and then crepes. Paid for crepes at 4.24pm and delivered at 4.47pm... rude responses from both sales assistants when I ask for information. Customers were also rudely sent away because they ran out of dough. As for food: 3.50 euro yogurt with very little quantity of the 3 ingredients chosen; semi-empty Nutella crepes, it feels like eating omelettes with the addition of icing sugar.

The best ice cream in Liguria can be found at the Papavera ice cream shop in Lerici. All flavors are delicious but our favorites are strawberry, fiordilatte and cream. To welcome you you will find the very kind and friendly owner Alessandro. Manuela is Giovanni

After a nice walk along the Lerici seafront, we needed a nice ice cream, so we stopped at this local ice cream shop.
Lots of variety of flavors.
The liquorice is very good, very special.
I also liked ricotta honey and figs.
High prices even for a cup but everything costs now.

In Lerici, relaxing after 2 hours of motorbike riding, my partner and I took a cool break at the Papera ice cream and yogurt shop. Splendid location in the central square of the town. friendly, competent and composed staff, always smiling and available.
I ate a fantastic pistachio cone. My partner bought a fruit yoghurt and was thrilled with the quality of the products. When we return we will certainly enjoy your excellent ice cream shop again. Rating 10+👍🔝

This gelato deserves more than one write up! We are staying in Lerici and travelled the length of Cinque Terre and tried the Gelato everywhere.
Nothing came close to to the intensity of the flavours here! I would love to k so the makers secret. The staff are super friendly too x

We visited this gelateria almost every night during our stay. All flavors we tried were excellent but the crown jewel is the pistaccio. Additional points for the brioche buns!

Make sure you check your change when you purchase here. Didn’t realize until i left that I was given change for 20€ instead of 50€ when I went back they were very rude and said since I left before querying bad luck. Be aware

There is a big and clear sign attached just behind the cash point for our customers inviting them to check their change before leaving the shop. This warning is meant to avoid disputes like this one. We are not responsible for your wallet outside our shop.
Our staff is always available and ready ti rectiffy any mistakes inside the shop, but following our policy.
Rudeness doesn’ belong to our cistomer approach, but do not confuse kindness with naivety.

Papavera makes the absolute best pistacchio gelato in the world, we tried many. We come here every year and are still amazed. It is obvious the owner has a passion for making high quality gelato. Can’t wait to go back !

Cinque Terre/Ligurian Coast is lined with gelato shops. We sampled 1-2 gelaterias in each village, and must say that this is the real deal and the best. Try their pear flavor. It's as if you're eating out of a fresh ripe pear. The owners are passionate about gelato making. This is not a gelato shop to simply entice tourists. Come & your tastebuds will thank you.
