We had a lovely time having dinner at lanterna blu. The location is very convenient and romantic with the Porto Maurizio in front of the dining room. The restaurant itself is very clean and nicely decorated it looks to be in an art gallery and you magically feel at your own home. The food is "dreamfood". We had only fish... More

After a couple of years we visited Lanterna Blu again for a family lunch on Easter sunday. We spent a great afternoon in this beautiful place and were really spoiled by Massimo the owner and his friendly staff. The menu served included several starters (tuna tartar, raw marinated prawns, fried calamari and a delicate pulpo potato salad) followed by a... More

I'm been in this restaurant few months ago. The place was very cosy and elegant. The paintings and the piano room, in which me and my partner had a very raffinated apertive, was amazing. Our dinner was incredibly delicious. That Lobster...such a Dream! <3 Massimo, the chef, and the lady who assisted us were very knowledgeable, friendly and gentle.

Came after the kitchen had closed for the evening but Massimo kindly offered to make a few simple dishes. If this was what he calls small simple dishes i would love to stay more days to taste the rest, and i think that for the love of his cooking and job he could not help himself to do it perfect... Over many years, decades in fact, this keeps one of the best in the region. Massimo is keeping a very high level for this very pleasant restaurant. In winter you can start with a glass of sparkling wine in front of the fireplace. When it is time for food, I usually don't care about choices and menus; Massimo makes the... More

The rooms are beautiful and very cosy. The atmosphere is very relaxed and quite. We really apreciated that it was extremely easy to talk to each other compared to most other restaurants. The service was very friendly and the owner which is also the chef, speeks very good english/german and french!. We ordered a testning menu with five dishes but... More

When you go to this restaurant you just have the set menu and you don't know what you are getting until you arrive which is fine for us and we enjoy dining like this. The restaurant is really quirky and we sat in the conservatory bit at the front which overlooks the harbour. We had carpaccio of octopus which was... More

We had an awful experience in this restaurant. Very bad service and rude employees. The food is just average. We complained to the owner, and he said: "if you don't like it, never come back". Very "customer oriented" approach. Really, people, never come back and never go to this place.

CUSTOMER ORIENTATION. Lanterna Blu is our family business since 1952, and if we have collected more than 450 reviews in 12 different languages, there must be a reason....but amongst those there are few like yours, wich I consider "selections mistakes": allow people like you to sit at my table IS ALWAYS A MISTAKE. Not necessary to mention the fact that... More

Really disappointing experience. Food was less than average quality. It was cantina range! The antipasti was average, then came the primo with a poor little lobster swimming in full plate of spaghetti and ending the diner with fried calamari as main course is very disappointed! We excepted fresh fish and sea food as shown in his advertising. The dessert was... More

The reason we keep returning to this beautiful restaurant is without a doubt because of its extremely talented chef Massimo, the seafood he serves is so fresh and every time we go he surprises us with something new. The octopus with potato was my favorite. The restaurant is an absolute treasure, beautiful décor a lot of original furnishings that have... More
