We had a wonderful lunch here in May 2022. Service was friendly but professional. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. I decided it was time to try tripe, a Tuscan specialty. The waiter assured me it was wonderful. I'm sure it was, but...for this American (even though I'm an adventurous eater) it was a bit much in terms of texture and smell. I gave it a good try but finally gave up. That said, everything else about our lunch was fantastic. My husband loved his pasta with cinghiale (local wild pig), and we both enjoyed the vegetables and of course the wine. This is a lovely restaurant in a beautiful small Tuscan town.More

Venice to Parma to Tuscany the food has been amazing … until now. The “stew” was just mushed chick peas and the lamb really poor stew meat with a slice of fried polenta. The gnocchi was just mushy dough in bland sauce. Service was poor,...wine was fine, music was 80s - go anywhere elseMore

We have been to this restaurant many times and the quality of the food stays on a high level. Very friendly staff. One of our most favorite places in Castellina in Chianti.

For sure one of the best restaurants in Castellina in Chianti. Great atmosphere, lovely view on the town place. And what a wonderful menu. Very tasty and fine gastronomy. I recommend the Taglierini al tartufo nero; homemade pasta ... heaven !

Great Tuscan food served by very welcoming staff! We visited this restaurant on a busy Tuesday lunchtime. The staff were very welcoming and we had great service despite them being very busy. We had the beef stewed in Chianti, the Pici (Tuscan pasta), Ravioli and...Gnocchi. Everything was excellent and very reasonable prices. We would highly recommend this restaurant!More

With no reservations we were seated and served with an excellent meal. Food was amazing, service faultless and atmosphere convivial. Recommend without any reservation.

Great setting next to the Torre, friendly staff, excellent Ossobucco and Truffles Pasta and much more. It is our favorite restaurant in the region

We went to the restaurant with high expectations as the location is a prime location in the Castellina main square and it has always a pretty large amount of customers. The bill was certainly the big shock of the night as the ration price quality...was not really in their favour. Service can be improved as we had several waiters following us and none seem really to perfect the job, at least with us. They only hav one beer in their selection and it is a commercial one. If the argument is that here you must drink Chianti I would argue that after 5 days in the region one could also indulge with a local beer. The menu is fairly varied but the "contorni", side dishes we ordered were really mediocre (patate al forno and salad were not really well prepared). The soup and the meat were OK but nothing to remenber. Coffee was not what you want to taste in Italy. All in all we paid too much.More

Not sure but restaurants in Italy have now become more aware of dietary requirements and usually would cater appropriately... A phone call or Internet check of menu might be helpful...Sorry, enjoy!
