We enjoyed a faultless lunch. Very friendly owner, superb food. The house red is delightful. There are a couple of outside tables which was a bonus.

We spent Easter Day with no plans. Just a small camper and an open road, starting from Bolgheri. We saw a hilltop town in the distance and said “let’s go there!”. As we meandered the beautiful streets and alleyways, we were wondering what we should...do for dinner. It was 8:30pm, and we happened to walk by a small window of Drago. I told my honey to come back and look at this handsome quaint restaurant. We decided to take our chances and ask if there was a table for two (there are only 5 tables inside, and it was too cold outside to set up tables yet). By lucky chance they just had a cancellation for a table of two! We walked in enchanted by the castle like style. The menu is perfectly small. We weren’t super hungry as we’d been eating all day. While waiting to order we saw the table next to us receive a bread bowl of ribollita. It looked amazing and so we decided to order one for each of us. It was the best ribollita I’ve ever had in all of my travels through Tuscany. We will return to Castegneto Carducci just to have this ribollita again! The couple who run this quaint place are great. Very welcoming. We wish the very best for them.More

Great local food, wine and Ale. Makes a great change from pizza and pasta. Fabulous location, wouldn't have found it without these reviews.

You can always find wonderful food in Italy, particularly in Tuscany, Drago Bria'o is an amazing little restaurant which simply takes food to a higher level! The name of the restaurant translates to the drunken dragon and that is easy to tell why. Here we...are in the region of the Super Tuscan wines, which you can of course enjoy with your dinner here, but Tiziano, the owner also offers an amazing choice of local artisan Tuscan beers, and for lunchtime on a hot day this was just perfect - we had already been trying a little of the Super Tuscan though. Food is of course highly authentic, cold meats through to a soup in a bun (bread) to a main course to desert. The restaurant is tucked away in Castagneto Carducci, hidden among the backstreets, but like so many wonderful things in life, the best things are often little secrets. If you come and eat here, you will want to return for more. The food is wonderful, the service is excellent, the welcome is like you're seeing you family after a break of a year. You are most warmly embraced here. It is well worthwhile taking a walk along the back streets to discover this wonderful little gem.More

Very nice place, hidden in one of the small alleys in Castagneto Carducci. Excellent beer choice (including his own), homy atmosphere, nice food. Would certainly go again!

Nice and pleasent discovery for my first time in Castagneto Carducci. I could taste "Clarice" Eucaliptus wine, produced in Bolgheri. Silence and jazz music. Really deserves more than a try.

Warm host looking to make it right for his non-local customers (which didn't seem a lot, when we passed by) in a tiny street with not much tourists passing through. The little terrace attracted us to stay for a little snach and drink, which we...didn't regret, once we got to know the friendly host and owner. There is also wine (DOC Bolgheri) on the menu, but I'd go there if you need a brake from all the wine-touristy stuff.More
