We arrived asked for good wine and food. We got everything with a very, personal service. We learnt to know the great white ( I say it again : white) Nebbiolo wine. Came back the day after and bought more of this wine. Go there and...tryMore
First of all, the place is much more beautiful in real life that is on the low quality photos you can see. Amazing food! Incredible author menu. Not the best place if you're a vegan though. But amazing for vegetarians too! Make sure you go...try local wines with your dinner! The 10 EUR cork fee is 100% worth it for the sommelier and niche wines experience. Beautiful authentic yet modern interior.More
We were in Bormio for Hiking and Biking. We entered this resaurant and were taken care of as never before. We wanted a menu composed for us and after some minutes deciding the wine a fantastic meal was ready. If you love personal treatment and...top quality try this placeMore
Exquisit Service, very friendly and amenable. Lovely food and wine. Great setting. Will definitely return when we visit again.
We had 3 dinners in Bormio. This was without doubt the best. Great atmosphere, very nice staff (owner is amazing), and food was fantastic. All was good but venison was out of the world. No question we’ll be back
We tried this restaurant based on reviews. We arrived at 12.20 on Saturday morning - it was still closed but the enticing aroma wafting out to the pleasant outdoor area was enough to make us wait for opening time with eagerness! And we were not...disappointed, indeed it was exceptional in every way! The hostess was great and very accomodating and helped us a lot to choose from the tantalising menu. For starters I had fresh green tagliolini pasta with duck and my husband gnocchi with venison ragout - both were divine, among the best pasta dishes ever, and on recommendation a smaller portion (so we were charged less) because we were going to have a main course too; I found this to be genuine treatment of clients. As a main course my husband had venison fillet - out of this world tender and tasty - I honestly wish to go again to Bormio because of it! As for me, I followed my nose and requested whatever the chef was cooking that we smelled outside. And it was absolutely delightful, a tender cut of meat stewed in a wonderfully flavoured barolo sauce, including cloves. I finished off all the sauce with the fresh crusty bread provided. We rounded off with dessert, a generous portion, a traditional bunet for me and meringue with hot melted chocolate for my husband. We accompanied the meal with a Valtellina wine I love, Sforzato. After coffee, a drink on the house, again a traditional liquor, taneda, named after a flowering plant found at high altitudes, from which it is made. The restaurant has a very relaxing ambience and was very cosy, considering it was an extremely cold day. It is found in a very quaint part of the historic centre of Bormio. We will definitely visit again next time we go to Bormio, it was a perfect lunch!More
Very nice welcome by host. Good explanation dishes. Nice wine. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I will come back.
We had a great dinner, went for the polpo as a starter then with homemade pasta. The interior design is amazing too. Definitely a must do in Bormio!
First visit to the Enoteca Guanella two years ago by accident. This time I booked a table in advance and was worried that I was going to be disappointed given how impressed I was the first time. No worries at all! Cristina and The Enoteca...are still going strong and our experience this time was at least as good as the first. Enoteca Guanella is a must visit when in Bormio if you have any interest in good food and wine! The service oriented team and their competence levels delivery an experience that is great ! Thank you!More
Great place for dinner in downtown Bormio. The food is excellent as well as the service. Great selection of wines at very competitive prices, just a 10 euro cork tax. Highly recommended and enjoy!
There is very nice concept, where you can choose any wine from the shop to accompany good dinner. Reasonable price for good wines)
We found this restaurant by chance, but I feel it was the best beginning for our weekend. Delicate environment, super tasty food, amazing enoteca, polite and welcoming staff... nothing negative to mention. Well done to the whole team, a place to re-visit for sure!
We stayed in Bormio the second time and sadly we just discovered this restaurant this year. We came for dinner and it was fantastic. Eating in this restaurant is not just about food, its a feeling and a whole new experience. First of all, the...design of the place is different, stylish, sth elese to everything we knew. The place is divided in a newly designed, super stylish part and an old wonderful wine cellar. Whoever designed this, great job, can i move in? ;) The service was very attentive, even the owner of the place came to personally welcome us. Personality and hospitality are so excellent, it makes it one of a kind experience. Now to the main part, the food. It was outstanding. Every dish we tried was delicious. Its put on the plate really nicely and looks superb. For the wine, since part of the restaurant is a wine cellar, you can choose your wine from there, while having help from a sommelier, which is fun and makes it really special. The whole evening was fantastic, so we booked another table for the next night. Even though they were fully booked, they put up a table for us and let us eat in the wine cellar. It was marvellous! Made us wonder why they are not number one on tripadvisor yet!More
Hi and thank you for one of the most beautiful review we ever had.Thank you to stay with us twice,I’ll wait for you back if you decide to come to Bormio another time. All the best
Excellent all across pastas, the mains (try local specialities such as fassone) and desserts, nice local wines are available by the glass and the bread selection is also excellent -- served in a nice old building downtown.
