Really loved this wee shop...sold beautiful range of flavours of ice creams and gorgeous chocolate items...my pupils loved this place..

First take a look at the ice-creams and confectionery on display. Then take a look at the number of locals who frequent the shop, and the reaction from the tourists when they take a first bite... If you walk on and do not partake of the offerings then your sanity is in question.

After reading the reviews posted here we did seek out to find this gelato shop while staying in Bormio. As others state - many flavor choices and the gelato was wonderful. It is a bit off the main shopping area which makes for a nice quiet stroll. There is a bench outside or you can wander over to the river... More

GREAT Restaurant. Al Filo is located on a tiny "street" in the center of Bormio. You dine in what seems like an ancient cave/gtrotto, and it's very romantic. The food is absolutely fantastic with local/regional specialties of the high northern Itlaian alpine region. They have fresshly caught trout from the mountain streams. We spent a month traveling throughout Italy and while tastes vary we found that between two teenagers and two adults the consensus was Secchi was the best. Many flavors to choose from including green apple and watermelon. Peach was the overall favorite and made for an excellent recovery food after climbing the passes around Bormio.
