Great starters - ham and cheese with marmalade was great. Mushrooms with bacon and cheese a delight. The peposa was meltingly good with potatoes and rosemary. Pasta was lovely the carbonara with truffle shavings adding a touch of luxury. Wine list short but all good stuff - I had the Bohgeri from Insogno. Highly recommended.

Picture Antiquario weekend and the Quartier festa all rolled together !! Town was jumping... we stumbled upon this gem late in the day!! their outdoor area is charming. The wait staff were friendly, the food fresh & appetising & the passersby interesting. It was a bit on the breezy side but we will go back next visit.

Another lunch at Osteria il Grottino which fully delivered! My only suggestion is for them to find a way to have a fan in the outdoor area as it is so very hot in July and August. Otherwise the burrata with truffles, the carbonara and the pork medallions with porcini mushrooms were fantastic!! Nice to find a dependable place for... More

Tucked away down narrow streets in central Arezzo sits this little gem. We were there for a quick lunch. Everything from service, menu, food to wine was excellent. Price very reasonable.

Really loved the informality of this place. The food was fresh and well presented by pleasant and helpful staff. The house wine was well priced and of excellent quality for the price. Lots of locals eating here gives it a lively atmosphere. Try the local brewed bottled ale.

I have had so many mediocre - to - bad lunches in Arezzo , especially during the monthly antique fair, it was sheer delight to find Osteria Il Grottino! A lovely outdoor corner under the cover of umbrellas, attentive service and the food...The food is wonderful! It is largely traditional Tuscan, but with a touch of something extra. I had... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant when another was complete. We really enjoyed our meaL and the service was great. Fredrico our server was kind and funny and could speak and understand English. He was a delight and also very competent. The pasta is made in house and is wonderful!! This restaurant is also very reasonably priced. Enjoy!

If you're staying in Arezzo, if you want to eat local cooking at very high level, if you want to do it in a warm and friendly environment, feeling like at home, Osteria Il Grottino is the right place! I was there with my family and we all agree it was a great dinner. Very good wine and fantastic food.

Found this place by accident after getting to my hotel and quickly hunting for a lunch place before riposo kicked off. Great outdoor seating. Simple and quick service. Had a small salad, with fresh ravioli filled with ricotta and spinach in a walnut cream sauce. Excellent. One of the best pasta dishes I've had this trip. Will definitely stop by... More
