The restaurant was recommended to us from the guest house we were stopping at,
we were greeted when we arrived the food was exquisite, serve was good not rushed everything was prefect , except the bread rolls.
After a tour of a nearby champagne house, we came here for dinner, and thought - why not have champagne with for dinner? So we did! Who knew it would work so well!
We loved it here. A really lovely atmosphere and everyone else around...us was French, which makes a real difference and made it feel less-touristy.
We had an excellent waiter who spoke English and wasn't afraid to crack a joke or two.
There is an excellent set menu and each course was superb.More
Even if there were two large groups of people this restaurant managed to serve a magnificent lunch. The staff was lined against the walls, welcoming us. We had a salmon tartar, Quail and an fantastic composition of apples for dessert. The Chardonnay and the red...Domaine de Brim accompanied the food just beautifully. Fast and professional service. The only minus was our waiter who answered two minor questions very curtly.More
You must book - we only got in because a vinyard had sent us - otherwise it was a definite 'non'. Very traditional french service - starched tablecloths and proper cutlery - delicious set lunch.
Ask for the conservatory when booking as its a little...less formal than the front dining room.More
We were by car on Champaign touristic route and have seen the advertisement on a board. Called and they had a table for lunch. To our big surprise it was a very nice restaurant with people enjoying their Sunday lunch with big families. Food is...great. We took tasting menu. Fresh. Portions are too big! Highly recommend.More
After our booking in the nearby bar in “the trees” did not work out, we arrived to this place and surprised the crew with request for a table for nine people. And it worked out perfectly. Go for degustation menu! Dinner was excellent and staff...very friendly, very nice selection of Champagne wines for great prices! A place to go!More
We were recommended to eat here by our host Andy at no. 8 B&B in nearby Mailly-Champagne when we stopped over on our way home from South of France. We had eaten well for two weeks and had taken eating out a bit for granted....We decided on the set menu for 27 euros - no choice of starter or dessert and choice of either meat or fish for main course, so taking a bit of a chance. We had cold melon soup followed by porc loin with mash potato and mushrooms - both absolutely wonderful - the dessert was a perfect end to the best meal of the holiday. We can't recommend this place highly enough!More
This is a very good restaurant in the Champagne area , with a good service , nice setting and good food . They've also a very broad wine list at acceptable prices! Especially a wide range of Champagnes. The sommelier was really helpful finding us...a great Blanc de Noirs. We were the only tourists on a Wednesday evening. We had the prix fixed 3 course menu and it was fantastic.I do recommend to reserve in advance.More
The list is limited but leaves enough choices for most people. All dishes are nice prepared, service is very good although sometimes can take a bit long. The environment is nice next to a small water. If it is warm make sure to have a...reservation outside on the terrace. You will like it as it can become quite warm inside!More
