This is a wonderful restaurant in a tiny village not far from Rambouillet. We had the menu, in a very nice dining room opening on a small garden. Amazing feminine team. We started with an incredible mozzarella tomato which changed all we know about. Then...we had a very original langoustine in crayfish sauce. Followed by an egg from the local hens. Continued by a perfectly cooked pig. Cheeses, as all the product are local. We paired wines as advised. Wonderful fruity dessert. In all, we had an unforgrettable lunch. Kudos!!More

Numéro 3 is an excellent restaurant in a sleepy village not far from Versailles, and well worth a visit if you are nearby. The food is chosen by the chef, but you have the choice of 3, 5 or 7 courses (except on Saturday evening...when the 3-course option is not available). Our group included one person with allergies and the staff were exemplary in taking account of them, and explaining what they had done differently to the dishes (rather than just omitting some ingredients). Dishes are inventive but not overly-pretentious, and use local and seasonal ingredients as far as possible. Tables are well-spaced, and the restaurant is calm: maybe too calm for some but if you like to be able to talk without having to shout then it is for you. Good choice of wine at reasonable prices. I've been four times and never been disappointed. The restaurant does not have its own carpark but there is ample free parking in the immediate area near the church.More

The dinner was quite good. The problems began with an absence of parking and a pretentious young man serving (happily, there was a lovely young woman who took his place). The dining room, however, is cold, gray and lacking in atmosphere. Would not return.More

We expected the restaurant to be good and it was outstanding. We stayed Saturday night and the choice was 5, 6 or 7 course tasting menu. Very accommodating about a requested swap for one dish. Food was excellent and we enjoyed the wine pairings. The...surprise was the lovely room - in the opposite building the room was like a small apartment- very spacious bathroom with free standing bath and large separate shower, sitting area and bedroom. Modern and very comfortable. Nice outside space and no problem welcoming our two springer spaniels. Breakfast was served in our room and was generous and so delicious - breads, pastries, ham, cheese, smoked salmon, fruit and fromage blanc, home made jam and lovely local butter. The owners and staff were extremely welcoming and overall it was an excellent experience.More

You will really enjoy your dinner with high quality seasonal product. It is a bit far from Paris but the environment and the restaurant are perfect to have a romantic dinner. The food is not highly sophisticated but more traditional using excellent French products.

We went to No3 for a birthday celebration and it was a total success. The décor is simple and exudes calm and tranquillity, the food is creative and inventive, but the main point is still what it tastes like and not what it looks like,...which is unfortunately often the case these days. The service was irreproachable, attentive without being invasive. We chose the 5 course menu with accompanying wines, each course was well balanced with seasonal ingredients and the choice of wines was first class. We are looking forward to returning for the Saturday evening “Atelier”. The other great advantage is that they have three very well appointed rooms, so you don’t have to worry about driving home.More

This restaurant is worth a drive out of Paris! I eat out for a living so I am very discerning about what is a great restaurant. Make a reservation, hire a driver, then go! (open Sunday for lunch so you can visit the surrounding small...towns with beautiful churches & parks) The service was professional as well as attentive. We enjoyed the "amuse-bouches" in between each of the courses which had rather plentiful servings of exquisite delicacies in a creative mix of flavors. The cuisine not only looks beautiful & colorful but also tastes so fresh. I was delighted over the use of various cheeses in most all the courses, some slightly evident for a touch of flavor, others more apparent. Overall an excellent experience! Bravo et à bientôt. I highly recommend this restaurant & will certainly go back for another experience.More

What I loved the most about my experience here was the possibility of eating high-quality food (cooked by Chef Trochain) and experience great service for a reasonable price at the Bar á fromages.
