We have visited the place just an hour before it's daytime break (between 16:00 - 19:00), but we were served as noble persons quickly and at an affordable an reasonable price. :-) The staff is helpful, foods are tasty, what else...yes, one thing I miss...over here: the fresh, draft beer. We'll be back soon! 👍More

We stopped here on the way from Brindisi to Monopoli. We had a great table by the window, had lovely fresh pasta and crisp house white wine. This was a great start to our holiday and we strongly recommend this place!

Cibo fresco e saporito. Prezzo giusto. Eravamo seduti davanti alla cucina ed è stato un piacere vedere lo chef cucinare! Seafood is fresh (I don't really know why other reviews say otherwise) and tasty. I was sitting right in front of the kitchen and seeing...the cook at work was entertaining. Fair priceMore

Bad food, bad quality and poor service. Nice spot right next to the water but unfortunately not matched by nice food. Around this place many other better options. The seafood bar with plastic chairs a bit further down is more casual but we were told...later much nicer.More

Good service with a lovely view. Whilst the food was very nice and extremely fresh, we felt it a little over-priced when you consider what is available in other local villages/towns. I'd absolutely still return if I was in the area.

Not an attractive building, but it has a great location sitting on the rocks with a lovely view over the bay. Attentive waiters who explained what was on the menu that day. (They give out menus to some customers, but not all. Not sure of...the reason!) We ordered mixed seafood pasta. It was delicious - fresh pasta, clams, mussels, razor clams, prawns, squid, octopus and a langoustine to top it off! My wife then had an enormous tiramisu for dessert - very light and creamy but no alcohol! Will definitely come back.More

I travel Italy back and forth for approx 6-7 months a year and I like to try new restaurants every time I can, when I am the Ostuni area and I want to eat fresh seafood ...no doubts, Michele is THE place to go. Family...style, nice people, great food with the most fresh fish I ever had. I normally ask for spaghetti with clams or seafood and when possible a fish ( sea-bass or similar ) cooked in the over with potatoes. Last time was 2 weeks ago with 7 guests from the US... best meal of their Puglian tripMore

Go for Sunday lunch, but book. The good is fresh, the waiters are great and Michel is a great host. Go for the anti pasta and enjoy, then decide if you want another course.. YOU WILL BE FULL after 6/7 dishes as the anti pasta....The building overlooks the sea and has recently been upgraded. The owner Michel has been there since the year dot and his mantra is serving good fresh wholesome Italian food and reasonable prices. The atmosphere especially on a Sunday is amazing , full of large families out for their Sunday lunch. I repeat.....book early you will not be disappointed. 've been about a dozen times and not once have I been let down. A joy nto recomend.More

We had some time to kill and decided to take a ride up the coast from Brindisi. We stumbled on di Michele for lunch. Great location on the water, staff/family was extremely nice. Like most good restaurants in Italy no Pizza until after 8. Waiter...goes over the four or five menu items and everyone got excited. I had an amazing pasta dish with shrimp and mushrooms in some type of olive oil and butter. Incredible presentation and taste. My wife had Orecchiette with meat sauce. She said it had more flavor than all the pasta dishes we had for the last week. Lastly desert home made Tiramisu. Fantastic. Great find.More

I’ve been in this fishing village for three days but I never wanted to go to this restaurant because of the negative reviews. Tonight my husband and I tried it out in spite of the reviews and thank God we did. The food was fabulous,...the service was excellent and we were given both menus and a wine list. The pappardelle with shrimp and pumpkin sauce was to die for and my pasta with chick peas and clams was excellent. The starters were grilled vegetables with caramelized onions and fish carpaccio. The lemon sherbet was delish too. I don’t know who the people writing reviews are but they can’t have been talking about this restaurant. A bit more expensive, yes, but worth every penny. The best food I’ve eaten in Puglia!More
