A character pub with excellent food and drink, tucked away in the middle of nowhere. The bar offered four real ales including one exclusive to them. We both chose the same. Our starter was a very good creamy cauliflower soup dressed with pesto. The main course was outstanding - big seared scallops on courgette slices with large crispy-battered prawns, samphire... More

Just back from an idyllic Sunday lunch at the fabulous country pub. Great tables, well spaced for privacy & atmosphere. Real fire roaring away. Plenty of staff so you're never left waiting. Beautiful old pub. Food - faultless. Crab cakes & chorizo scotch egg for starters were out of this world. Mains of roast beef and an absolute door step... More

Kev celebrated his 40th Birthday Party at the Plough Inn, Stalisfield and we couldn't recommend this lovely place enough to our family, friends and everyone for that matter. Richard created a pre-order menu packed full with Kev's favourite food to choose from. Marianne's knowledge with the wines and fizz to compliment the food was very impressive. Kev chose Crab cakes,... More

Almost to stuffed to eat a bite more we were seduced by the idea of a dessert just as good and we were definatly not disapointed. I had the chocolat... More

We recently came across this pub on a walk and decided to try it for an evening meal with my mum and dad. We went last night and unfortunately won't return. My dad and I both ordered the "sirloin steak with crispy potatoes, wild mushrooms and curly kale" when it arrived we both struggled to find any "wild mushrooms". I... More

A very pleasant and welcoming pub with helpful staff. I had the vegetarian main course costing £13 and was astonished by the size of the meal, after I had eaten it I felt as if I had had a starter and was left feeling very hungry afterwards, extremely disappointing as the food was tasty just such a mean size.

Visited here twice now, once with family and once with my husband just before Christmas....both visits were wonderful. The food is gorgeous, the pub is quaint and very friendly, it has a lovely homely vibe to it. Last time we went we opted for the set menu, we chose the turkey for main and the prawns for starters...both were yummy.... More

Description
If you’re looking for a friendly independent pub restaurant in the picturesque Faversham area, then look no further. Local beers, wines & ciders and a choice from the constantly changing selection of unique homemade dishes from our blackboard come as standard in our family-run country pub. Tucked away in an area of outstanding natural beauty between the historical towns of Maidstone, Ashford and Faversham, The Plough inhabits a unique space amongst Kent’s rolling hills and lush farmland. Our unspoilt surroundings in ‘The Garden of England’ create the perfect setting for enjoying the fresh, locally-sourced meals we serve here. Just come and see for yourself. There’s plenty to see and do nearby, and we’re a great stop-off for walkers and cyclists alike. A short drive from Faversham is medieval Leeds Castle, the home of Catherine of Aragon in the sixteenth century, with parts dating back to the early 1100’s. We also enjoy stunning views out to Herne Bay, a popular Victorian seaside town known for its pier, pretty shingle beach and pastel-coloured huts along the seafront. Other local attractions are Farming World in Faversham for a day of family fun, and some of Kent’s leading vineyards for those who are young at heart. Whether you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a warm and lazy afternoon taking in the stunning views from our gardens or seeking the unbeatable cosiness of an open log fire in the winter, we look forward to welcoming you to The Plough Inn.
