The reviews would suggest this is an outstanding fine dining restaurant It is in fact distinctly average The food is ok but vastly over priced and for what you get not special It ticks the boxes as an Indian restaurant with standard fare but sadly...lacks any features to make it special The lamb was tough, dishes were swamped in onions and peppers, but the cost of main dishes is difficult to quantify with what you getMore

I would recommend anyone who hasn’t eaten in the restaurant to give it a try. The takeaways are excellent but the dine in experience is something else. The staff are lovely, so friendly and helpful and the food is even better when eaten fresh from...the kitchen. I’ve always found the owner Faisel helpful in offering advice as to what is particularly good on the menu and the side dishes are delicious.More

We booked at last minute and this was our first visit. Friendly staff and nice surroundings. We were very impressed with the varied menu and enjoyed a lamb shank and agra chicken - things we would not eat at home so a very nice surprise!...We will return on the basis of varied and unusual dishes cooked to perfection. Thank you!More

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The location is superb in a beautiful Roman village. This is a true gem. After a few days of eating junk food we decided to find a good Indian restaurant for some real food! We were not disappointed. The venue...was clean and welcoming and service was with a big smile and lots of attention to detail. We ended up talking extensively with the owner who was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and fresh. We couldn't recommend this place more. Well done to the chef and team for making some authentic Indian food.More

After reading the reviews I had high hopes for this restaurant. I really don't mind paying extra for quality and that's what I was expecting. So I ordered a delivery takeaway and was charged £4 delivery and 40p service charge and 10p for a bag....£4.50 down before I start ordering food. (no tip for the driver then). It arrived 20 minutes late. Chips were warmish. Food was at best OK. I can only assume the the sit down in the restaurant experience is what has warranted the glowing reviews because the takeaway doesn't.More

Staying at the Celtic manor, we decided to give this highly rated Indian restaurant a try. We weren’t disappointed! From the minute you arrive, you know you’re in for a treat. Friendly with a warm welcome and extra touches. Food was excellent, fresh, tasty and...spicy! If only we lived a bit nearer. We’ll be back next year!More
