Roches Bar is delightful, we arrived on a very cold day in late March to be greeted by a warm wood stove and charming service. The seafood was wondeful, I have seldom tasted such tasty prawns. There was also good choice of draught beeers on offer. We will certainly be going again!

We ordered sea food showder and some daily specials: the food was nicely served and presented, and the service was really good. I recommend this place!

The chicken curry is so delicious!...and so was the vegetable soup! All the rest was fab too...but those two dishes really exceeded our expectations! They have a great kids' menu and an extensive selection of craft beers!

Ate here twice in four days! Great bar area, typically Irish, with roaring fire. Simple but wonderfully-cooked food, particularly the curries (we believe the chef is Sri Lankan) and if you've a yearning for a game of pool or darts, they've a back bar for that too. It was the sort of pub we were hoping to find on our... More

Visiting with a friend after a long walk by the hook! Great and quick service, and an absolutely delicious menu! We got the Thai curry and the goujons and everything was super fresh and tasty! The bar is beautiful and you really feel at home here! Decided on dessert after too! Homemade brownie! Just delicious! There's also a great selection... More

We were recommended to Roches by our landlady. Typical dark, rambling interior, part of which (at the back) was rather cold. Once we had found a warm table we ordered food - fish for both of us as we were only yards from the sea. Very good - and equally good, relaxed service. After eating, and belatedly discovering that they... More

The food in this pub is amazing. Think I've tried almost everything on the menu now. The Thai Green curry is a must. Highly recommend it. The selection of craft beers and gins is brilliant for a rural pub. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Live bands at weekends which makes this pub an all rounder.

My two siblings and I had lunch. Friendly service, good pint of Guinness. Chowder was excellent as were the fries, the crab and salmon was good but not great. The tempura prawns avoid they were not good. Overall well worth a visit to this small town pub with great food.

This is an excellent bar and the bar food is amazing. Try the monkfish and prawn curry . Rochester is very suitable for families or even large groups. The staff are lovely and very helpful. I have never been disappointed with the food here. Excellent.
