We went here for a special meal on Sunday night having booked late. We were promptly shown to our table and perused their delicious sounding menu. I ordered the scorched mackerel and burnt apple puree and my partner had the octopus. Both dishes were very...More

Came with a group of 16 on Tuesday and all had such a lovely meal. Really good for vegetarians. I had the whitebait followed by the polenta with wild mushroom - which were really yummy!! Best whitebait I have ever had. Definitely will be going...More

First of all, make sure you book as this is a popular place. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. As for the food, well the monkfish cheeks with local cockles were divine, the local beef cooked to perfection and the...More

There’s something of a fine line between places that are dining pubs and places that are restaurants in buildings that used to be pubs. The Duck Inn just about manages to stay in the former category, retaining a small bar area for drinking. But let’s...More

From my experience of eating here twice; The Duck Inn offers great food and friendly customer service. I have had the Fish&Chips / Scampi&Chips (you're probably better off going with the first option because of the chunky chips it comes with) but both were good...More

Description
An award winning rustic-smart gastropub, serving the best in local produce and East Anglian ales. Friendly and efficient service perfectly compliment the incredible food served up by chef patron Ben Handley and his team. Norfolk favourites such as Brancaster crab, steaming bowls of Norfolk mussels, locally-smoked salmon with gingerbread are regular highlights; along with Chef Handley’s famous black pudding-scotched quail’s eggs. Sundays' roasts of local pork and Holkham Estate beef are widely regarded as the best along the coast.

With two stylish bedrooms; there is always the option to enjoy a wonderful evening meal and super wines from the varied wine list, before staggering upstairs to unwind under the snuggly duck-down duvets.

Booking is always essential.
