Visited restaurant yesterday. When entering such a beautiful and luxurious Manor you already expect highest level in food and service. Food was actually good, both, main course and desert was made with passion. I recommend Peipsi local Pike Perch fish. House wine bottle was probably...open for a while before serving so it was not the best. Service was friendly and professional, though there was only 1 waiter serving the whole area. Waiting for food is always a sensitive topic. You cannot expect fast food service in a la carte location but when it gets over 45 minutes it drives crazy as well. We get our dishes in appx 30 minutes which was ok in this case.More

Last weekend we visited the Buffet Day on Onion Route and on this route we had the nice possibility to visit beautiful Manor of Alatskivi. As we were very hungry and it started to rain we decided to have a bigger lunch in Alatskivi restaurant...not in one of the buffets. The service was very unfriendly. From the first moment we understood that we were not wellcome . The waitress informed us for the beginning that we have arrived to the a la carte restaurant and we cannot expect any food before 30-40 minutes. When the food arrived(pike perch and onion soup) we understood that it was a big mistake to come here. I ordered another glass of wine for the fish and this one I never got. The waitress remembered it when we had to pay the bill. Please do not go there if you do not want to get bad impressions.More

We spent one night while travelling through Estonia and decided to have dinner and it was excellent. All plates we had were delicious, well presented. Sven was the main employee we interacted with during our stay and he was great. Friendly chatty, would offer suggestions...of what to eat and drink which were all perfect for us. Definitely recommend you stop here for a meal.More

We visited this Restaurant of Manor on the nice warm summer day and we had possibility to sit on the terrace. Nice view to the garden, good service and delicious food. I felt myself as the Queen of the Manor! This is not typical turistic...place. It is about 40 km from Tartu, the second largest town of Estonia and you can walk peacefully in the park, visit at first the Manor and then get surprising delicious food.More

First and foremost the food tasted delicious and looked like work of art. We ordered smoked duck with green salad for a starter, mutton that came with potato 'lasagna', mint sauce and pea puree, home-made lemonade and a kama-flour dessert. There was a choice of...healthy options for our 22-month-old son. He greatly enjoyed his potato cream soup and meatballs. The lemonade was made without sugar or fizzy drinks and the dessert is a must-try cultural experience as kama flour is a very traditional ingredient for Estonia. The staff are friendly, well-trained and speak good English and Russian. The only thing that might disappoint some is that the place is a bit pricy, but that's predictable because of the historical building it is located in and the food and service offered.More

The meals prepared for breakfast and lunch at the castle were the best we had in Estonia. The chef is a world traveler and will spend time chatting with you. The food is without a doubt worth the small amount of money charged. Breakfast is...included in the price of staying the night.More

Stayed at a suite in the castle and had dinner and breakfast. The dining hall is wonderfully restored to its original glory, very nice atmosphere. A Quail with buckwheat was good and nicely served. For breakfast the guests can choose from a list of options...upon arrival. Also good, except the coffee that had a strange bitter taste. Overall a lovely experienceMore

We were staying at the castle (separately reviewed) so had dinner at the restaurant. Not sure how much walk-in traffic they get because they don't seem to advertise it much. We had an excellent meal, with perhaps the criticism that the deserts were rather small...for the price (this is not cheap by local standards). My quail was great (but I could eat several quails I admit). The service was good (the lady, who also dealt with the room, spoke good English).More

We had lunch at this restaurant. The place has a nice interiour. Staff was very friendly and it was the pleasent place to eat. As the other halls were reserved we choose the place in center room. Food was very good! I choose the fish...soup. It wad made of 3 types of fishes and was delicious. At the end of lunch I also eated the strowberry desert and it was also very good. Good place to go to eat! :)More
