Absolutely matching the atmosphere of a fisher village on the forgotten-land-on-the-vast-ocean, this restaurant worth a visit. If you arrive really hungred possibily while snowing, the meal could seam to you the best in the word; jokes apart you can have both typical fish and meat main dishes, several side dishes, big choice of dessert and coffe/tea. Water is for free,... More

Bud is only a small place but it is surrounded with a nice landscape and nature. It has a nice walking path and a unique harbour area. A place that is well wort a visit. Bryggen I Bud is a nice non-pretentious restaurant that offers traditional food for the area that is mostly related to the sea. The main courses... More

We thought it was a typical local fish restaurant, but it is in fact made for groups. Only the full buffet available, no other choice.

Was recommended this place by relatives and was quite surprised that there was an OK restaurant there at all. With the very good supply of fresh local fish and traditionally preserved fish this could be a gem, but it is just average in its execution. To the foreigners (and anyone with a food allergy) an explanation of the local dishes... More

The quality of the food was just okay. Steamed salmon, fish balls, meat balls were all fine- cafeteria quality. Vegetables were over cooked/watery. Cakes and desserts looked okay. I didn't try them. Hard to imagine how this could possibly be worth 250NOK. I Know it's expensive in Norway but this is ridiculous. Skip it

Very down to earth and surprisingly good hot buffet with varied dishes. Clearly popular. Good stop via the Atlantic road. Our only complaint was that the water was a bit too cold for swimming :-)
