I strongly recommend this cozy place. Everything there is so perfect, from food to customer service. It´s like to be back in history! The atmosphere is awesome and I would love to come back there to try others dishes. The staff is very kind and helpful. Our chicken pie was delicious. The lady who attended us was very kind and... This experience would have been a lot better if there were more interested/quicker staff. To be fair it was very busy but even in these circumstances the service was very poor. I wasn't allowed to order for myself until my friend arrived at which time they had run out of my starter and on many occasions we were ignored when... More

I came here with a friend after a visit in kew garden. Lovely afternoon tea...with also a vegetarian option. The room was ancient but really nice and cosy. The problem was the staff.. We waited 15 minutes before someone come to speak with us, when they were taking the orders or serving the tables they weren't even watching you nor... More

This is one of the nicest places for afternoon tea. My school friend introduced this lovely place to me years ago, and I love the atmosphere and the food, even brought my family there for afternoon tea. The scones are absolutely amazing, with the strawberry jam and clotted cream. We also love the pies, quiches and patisseries, they are all... More

Beautiful tea room, decilious everything and a good choice for teas. Really, for afternoon tea I couldn't be in a better place. I just wish it was possible to make reservations, as it gets so full in the weekends. They also do take away. Service is nice. Not cheap, but worth the treat.

A cozy little tearoom on Kew Road with a 300 year history. I won't go into the long history here but it's fascinating and supposedly goes all the way back to Henry the 8th, Anne Boleyn and nearby Richmond Palace. You can have a "Maids of Honour" - a sweet, flaky tart for which this place is named. You can... More

This is the fourth time I've visited this great little place in the past year and it's never disappointed. It does seem a little understaffed at busy times, but the staff have always been polite and as efficient as possible. Any lag in service is made up for by the excellent quiches, pasties and sweet pastries. The Black Forest Slice... More

During a visit to Kew Gardens I stopped off for lunch first, the steak pie & veg was delicious and the lady who owns the restaurant is one of the most friendly people I've ever met ! Service was great and food arrived hot ..... No complaints whatsoever !

Having lived in Richmond for a few years now I've always been curious to try this dainty little tea house out. From the outside it always seemed to be busy & the historic character gives it an inviting charm - that is ; until you step inside... When we walked in, there was no welcome & oddly no staff? So...
