This is our nearest pub and we've always been really pleased with the quality of service and the food. However since a change of management, or maybe just the chef, it's really only average. We've been twice since the change, the last time was for my husband's birthday on 15 November. The place feels tired, the tables and chairs were... More

Treated friends to a meal here on Saturday (29th).....5 or 6 choices for starters. ...olives being one choice and the rest - ALL fish. No burgers available from the main course section of the menu. Two of our party ordered belly of pork from the specials board - served with spring greens. If I were the chef I would have... More

We've always enjoyed this pub. Good service, good food, good ales (especially the Haka, a rare find which uses New Zealand hops), prices not exorbitant, and a warm fire in the colder months. How has it taken so long for us to encounter their lovely pub cat, Maverick? What a marvellous animal. More please, sir.

Great food pub in sleepy Bleadon. I have visited here several times and it's always been first class. Food on this occasion was tasty, well presented and a good choice. Service was great- with a smile even though it was busy and there were a couple being difficult shall we say! Thoroughly recommended. A true gem of a place.

Have had several meals here and not one has disappointed. The Queens arms burger comes as it is and you add the extras (not sure where a recent reviewer was eating when she wanted the cheeses replacing, burger comes naked you add your own extras numpty) superb quality ingredients make for superb quality meals. The setting is fantastic and my... More

Have been here a couple of times now and enjoyed it. Love the old type pub that is not a chain as the food is always better. On saying that as much as I've enjoyed having lunch here and the food is excellent, I'm always a little disappointed that there is only ever one vegetarian option on the menu and... More

We booked a cottage in Bleadon, not realising that the cottage backed on to this pub. 40 second walk to it, brilliant, had a sandwich at lunch and returned the same night for Friday night steak night. 2 ribeye steaks for £18 with all the trimmings. Steak lovely. Cheese garlic bread gorgeous with a strong cheddar cheese. Bottle of Prosecco... More

Heard lots of good reports. I asked for a burger without the cheese and could this be substituted with mushrooms this was a no. So I was charged for a side of mushrooms instead of an extra topping. Burger arrived without the onion rings. Coleslaw was running all over the plate when I tipped this out. Partner enjoyed his vegetarian... More

All in all it was a lovely place. Old and quaint and a good atmosphere. Slightly disappointed that there was only one vegetarian option amongst the ten things on the menu but luckily it was something I liked.?Broad bean, edemame, green bean and feta risotto. It was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend has the breaded chicken stuffed with ham and Brie... More

A traditional English country pub where the super friendly staff made us very welcome. The home made burger and coleslaw was absolutely superb.
