Arrived 12:30, warm greeting and seated straight away. Varied menu , we had the Sunday roast, beef , and fish and chips, followed by the best lemon meringue pie I have eaten for a long time. We ordered a large glass of red wine, and a soft drink, finally 2 coffees. The food was excellent and good value. Our waitress... More

On the second Monday of 2017, we were surprised to find that the Milton Brasserie was already fairly busy for lunch at 12.30. We were welcomed promptly and shown to an pleasant corner table - jug of water was provided immediately. The lunch menu offered a good range of choices from soup and sandwich to lamb or venison mains. I... More

We stopped off for lunch not knowing what to expect but was thoroughly delighted with the service, atmosphere and, of course, the food. Initially we thought about coffee and scones however when Cullen skink is on the menu it is something my husband and I enjoy so had to try the brasserie version of this smoked fish soup. The soup... My husband, younger son and I had a quick lunch here today. We opted for roasted parsnip soup which was smooth and tasty if a little thin in consistency for my taste. I had the cheese, ham and piccalilli sandwich, Alan had pulled pork with Mozzarella and Jamie had chilli chicken and mayo. All were well presented with side salad... More

While in Banchory over the Christmas period we visited this restaurant on Christmas Eve. All I can say is what a fantastic place. We had the cauliflower soup for starters and the monkfish for main. Both dishes were delicious. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. And the place it's self is a little gem. Anybody visiting Banchory really... More

We decided to go to the Milton for lunch at the last minute. Fortunately there were a few spare tables where diners had finished their meals. I ordered the deep fried beer battered haddock and chips served with tartare sauce which I found to be very good. My wife had a ham hock terrine starter followed by a desert, both... More

Took my fiancé for lunch yesterday and find it rare I write about a disappointing lunch as standards around Banchory, where I live, are by and large pretty decent. I couldn't fault the service as the waitress was really good at her job. We ordered fish and chips for lunch, not fine dining you understand, but wholesome filling fish and... More

Went for lunch today using an Itison voucher. My friend and I both opted for chicken supreme and vegetables, was so delicious and tender. Had dessert of pumpkin pie with walnut ice cream, all I can say is WOW. Every element of the dessert was amazing. Love the food and ambience of this restaurant, will definitely be making a return...
