Popped in for a coffee and cake this afternoon, amazing service and very friendly staff. And they offered some dog friendly suggestions for places to visit for the rest of our week. And the coffee and cakes were just lovely.....would def return next time we...pass. Thank you!More

Mr Brown's looks like the kind of place you can just pop in for a quick coffee and a piece of cake perhaps? Think again. I've been a couple of times in recent years and whilst the cakes are good and the coffee is nice,...the service is what always lets it down. I called in with my fiancee in August, and whilst they had a few customers it was by no means busy and there were 3 staff working. I said when we entered that we didn't want meals, just cake and wine, but it took a full 40 minutes for them to come and take out order. This was despite me approaching the counter twice in that time to ask if I could place the order, each time told that someone would come and take the order. Nearly walked out a couple of times. People that came into the cafe after us had their orders taken and food brought before anyone had come to take our order. That's never gonna wind anyone up is it! The owner did apologise for the delay, which was appreciated, but I think it was bad form from the staff to leave customers waiting so long, especially when we said when we entered that all we wanted was cake and wine! they could have just served us with it there and then and that would have been us taken care of.More

I had lunch here with a friend, very busy, but the service was quick and friendly. When the second pot of tea we ordered was delayed, it arrived with apologies and then they knocked the price of it off the bill. The food was good,...fresh and plentiful. I will eat there again and recommend it to friends.More

Every time I visit this cafe I have to wait for ages to be served. Last time I walked away without ordering as I’d waited 20 minutes just to order. This time I’ve sat outside waiting for someone to take my order for another 20...minutes. I give up! Rubbish service.More

Fantastic place to eat. Fresh ingredients all made to order. The girls serving were lovely and very welcoming. I ordered a prawn salad and got some extra smoke salmon on top - mmmmm!!! it was so delicious. Eco and recyclable friendly cutlery, plates and cups....Lovely coffee and if you want you can sit outside.More

We popped in for a light brunch and we very disappointed. Took an hour between ordering and food being delivered. When the breakfast arrived there were items missing (no toast or hash browns) and the vegetarian breakfast had bacon on it, so disappointed as it...was supposed to be a treat. The staff were very apologetic and the veggie breakfast was given to is complimentary, buy as an experience we won't be trying to repeat. STRONGLY RECOMMEND VEGETARIANS AVOIDMore

After 45 minute wait the wrong order arrived, bacon on a vege breakfast. Other order no toast or hash browns. Limited vege options overall. Sadly very disorganized. Drinks came 30 mins before the food but haven't ordered more as now annoyed at a further wait...for the right food. After nearly an hour still no toast or the right food. Go elsewhere sad as was trying to support local business.More
