Early Bird Thursday eve. As my son wanted a Pizza, I was almost leaving, but the waiter upstairs was most helpful, and we got Gammon arranged for my son. Although Not overly busy there was enough eating for a n atmosphere. Portions really generous, well presented. Sticky ribs starter we're fantastic. Gammon & slow roast beef. Fantastic, only slight criticism... More

I went here for lunch on a Good Friday. I was given a half battered menu which wasn't very appealing in appearance or content and thought about leaving and going somewhere better. I'd like to say I stayed and very pleased I did. I had a delicious prawn cocktail which was teaming with prawns and had a lovely piece of... More

Bland food. No seasoning. No flavour. Bland staff. Staff looked uninterested and we're very unhelpful. Long wait on getting menus Long wait in drinks Long wait on food Cannot comprehend all the great reviews. Myself and 3 friends all had the same opinion.

Headed out from hotel/B&B to find a restaurant. Was on the other side of town and was struggling to find a nice restaurant open on a Monday evening. Looked on TA and found this one. Above a pub, Food great, staff attentive and very friendly. Not had the bill yet as sitting at table. But so impressed thought I would... More

Ate here on Sat 1 April. I ordered "garlic prawns" as starter & I got scampi sitting on lettuce & tomato with a drizzle of garlic butter. I didn't order scampi as I love fresh prawns with no batter/breaded. For main I asked if I could have the risotto from the starter served as a main & they kindly accommodated... More

This was a return visit, and the staff in Donegan's are still the most welcoming of any restaurant I've been in. The food is good and portions are large - you won't go home hungry - and if you're lucky you might even have room for dessert.

Thank Cranley
