I went here last week for something different and I am glad that I did. I went for the early bird special which was £9.95 for a starter and a main or a main and a desert off a special menu. I got the steak and Guinness pie which was lovely and very filling and a Carmel cheesecake with ice... More

A great establishment! Warm, welcoming and a great selection of drinks available. Seating areas were really comfortable and the clientele seemed to feel like it was a second home. We didn't eat here but the menu looked good. Great for a cosy night with a few pints and good conversation. Also, if you're a smoker, their beer garden looked beautiful!... More

Place has loads of character and history. Very authentic old school vibe to it. Staff are friendly and chatty. They seem to know most of the customers, the customers are friendly and chatty too. Great place for a pint!

I called in for an evening meal and a drink or two. The staff were extremely welcoming. The food was delicious reasonably priced and well presented. I had a huge prawn cocktail and a gargantuan plate of seafood pasta. Needless to say I will be back

I came here for an evening meal as it was not too far from where I was staying. It is a quirky, pleasant pub with nice, friendly staff and decent food at a reasonable price.

There is a 2 course special offer for under £10 from 5pm until 9pm midweek, but even better still is a reduction in the price of wine. On a Monday it's £11 a bottle and I've just read from their website that wine is half price on a Wednesday from 5pm. Service is good as are the portions. Next time... More

We've been coming here maybe once / twice a year from Edinburgh to visit family and have a long weekend break over many years and the food and atmosphere never let us down. Consistently a must on our list - great dinner for four last night, each dish was top notch, lovely service and incredible value for the quality. Highly... More

I have been to this place twice. The food is simple pub food but tastes fabulous at a great price with generous portions. All for under £10. The service is good and the staff are so friendly and helpful.
