As they were dog friendly, we went in,no problem getting a seat( plenty of tables spare. When I asked for the menu I was told "erm we have two big tables in, we cannot serve anything for an hour".... And that was that, no helpful...More
My wife and I visited on two occasions over the weekend firstly for a drink on Saturday accompanied by our dog and we returned on Sunday for the nicest roast beef I have ever tasted. Lovely pub and superb staff, quirky Gents toilets too!
We visited the Black Swan Inn, and thought it was fab! Lovely and cosy with open fires and quirky decor, along with real ales and very tasty and reasonably priced food. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and it had a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend.
We came to the black Swan for my partners birthday. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was beautiful and red hot. We ate in the restaurant for all three nights and again the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly...More

Hello, you are not alone in your questions. Each year this seems to be a bit of a problem for those attending the event. The venue is too difficult to get and we're surprised the organisers haven't organised a bus service. Taxis are hard to come by and previously, we have ferried guests there in our car. This year we plan to organise a minibus shuttle for our guest and will only ask a nominal contribution to cover the costs. Hopefully this will make the event more enjoyable.
