Visited with a friend who lives nearby, and no, she had never been in the place before. It was Halloween and the visiting dogs were in full costume! Friendly greeting, and quickly shown to a nice table in the vaulted room (the café has three...More

What's not to like about sitting in a vaulted room, thinking about the history of the building and enjoying the warm hospitality on offer here. Superb soups, good coffee and a fine sandwich.

I am a very frequent customer here. No rivalry for soup in Stirling, not to mention high quality sandwiches/croissants at a very reasonable price. Darnley always has two or three fresh pots of homemade soups diffrent to your usual lentil or broth on the go....More

Lovely cafe in a cosy space with cool vaulted ceiling. Only had a cup of tea but was brought a huge pot for two people. Can’t comment on the food but cake looked nice!

The smoked salmon and cream cheese are really good and it's my first time trying the carrot cake, which is really delicious! Love it so much and waitress are really really kind, the best thing happened today is visiting this lovely cafe.

We stopped by Darnley's for lunch. They had more than one kind of soup, which came with a hearty piece of bread. The building was originally owned by Lord Darnley, Mary Queen of Scots' husband!
