Very cosy venue, although on my own I felt relaxed. Very helpful staff. My haddock and chips was very tasty and the price was good.

Visited here on Sat 18th March. Going out with family elsewhere later that evening so had a wee couple of sides to keep us going. Food itself not a problem. Tasty and hot. Staff however, not the brightest! The young girl, who incidently was serving on her own whilst the 2 others were stood filling in paperwork - in view... More

We visited for my father's birthday and the meal was great. We were seated in the bar area, a busy Saturday night but to be expected. The atmosphere was still enjoyable. Not too loud or anything. We recieved great service all night and our food arrived in good time, and tasted delicious. We were very well taken care of the... More

Today my girlfriend and I decided to use google maps and randomly pick a pub to go to for lunch. Google presented us with Birds and the Bees. Google made a damn good decision. The attention to detail from the lawn outside to the booths and condition of the furniture inside is impeccable. The friendly locals at the bar having... More

We had a meal to celebrate the day we met to make up for the horrible meal delivered from another establishment. So much better, in hindsight we should have gone there instead. Sensible portions, my burger was lovely. My boyfriend had scampi, I had sticky toffee pudding, boyfriend had chocolate mousse. I think the fact that the plates were not... More

An award winning restaurant situated in the green and pleasant village of Causewayhead in Stirling, The Birds and The Bees is a dining room built around a passion for food. Located in an old one story whitewashed farmstead, The Birds and The Bees proudly displays its rusticity, with cartwheels on the outside walls, a choice of two beer gardens and exposed brick and open fires aplenty inside. The result is a cosy and warm, the lighting kept low and an eclectic mix of old and new decorative touches providing character and a talking point too. As an informal wine-bar and bistro, The Birds and The Bees has an informal atmosphere matched by the menu, a tempting collection of dishes both locally and internationally influenced, all using locally sourced produce wherever possible. The kitchen staff really care about the food theyre cooking, evidenced by not only the high level of flavour in their homecooked dishes but also in the careful, attractive presentation of every plate. Drink options include a great many carefully selected wines as well as excellent ales and lagers on tap.
