We had a brilliant meal here (again). Fabulous lunch deal with best views of Southport. Children's menu is impressive in size and choice. All adults ate from set course lunch menu. Everything from terrines, to risotto was well prepared and generous. We were a family...More

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights as a birthday celebration. We ate two breakfasts in the restaurant and one evening meal. It seems that we had a better experience than some of the other reviewers. Basically we enjoyed all our meals....More

The service was very good and the food was excellent. I had the Black pudding with a poached egg and potatoes with a sauce for my starter, best starter I have ever had, my partner had hoisin duck rolls and he said they were excellent....More

Simply superb surroundings, selection & service.....the Marine Brasserie is second to none. Restaurant Supervisor Erika & her team have customer service down to a fine art. Will be visiting again soon!

Our server, Steven, made the evening as he was superb. A real asset to the restaurant / hotel! Apparently he left and returned. Without him the evenings service would have been poor at best! The seafood risotto was great apart from the temperature. Also, the...More

I have enjoyed the hotel for stays, theatre, lunch and dining over several years and have had a generally good experience at the Ramada. The location, ease of parking (paid or otherwise) is as good as any in the town. The reception staff are invariably...More

We visited the Brasserie for lunch on Sunday 26 February for lunch, THE greeting on arrival was reasonably businesslike and the first impression of the menu was OK if limited. I ordered crispy black pudding which turned out to be some small pieces of black...More

We have stayed here before but not eaten in the restaurant. This time we did and it was a disappointment; mostly because of the poor value of the main I chose. A quarter piece of a Bass and a small pot of salad do not...More

We were a party of six people dining early at 6 PM on a Friday night. Despite the fact that there were probably only three or four other tables in the restaurant the service was terribly slow. We needed to be in the theatre for...More

Hi Ruth, For the best possible views we recommend the executive suites. There are 2 on each floor with either a view of the seafront and the marine way bridge on one side or a views of the Lancashire coast on the other. The... More

This year we have welcomed a new Head Chef, and with him he has brought some fresh and new ideas to hit the ground running with a fresh new approach to our food offering. Concentrating on locally sourced produce from Peets Plaice for our fish, Kev Peet lives locally and goes out each morning to catch his fish. One of our dishes "Southport's Potted Shrimps" is created using his freshly caught shrimps. Forshaws supply our vegetables, we always have a "Soup of the day" usually using fresh seasonal vegetables. The new chef has designed his menu with an emphasis on freshly homemade, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. As you would expect we cater for all dietary requirements and special requests. Don't fancy anything on our menu? Tell us what you do fancy, if the chef has the ingredients, he will cook them up for you. The Food & Beverage as a team recognised afternoon tea as being one of the most popular reasons our customers visit our lounge. With this in mind our Chef has introduced some new exciting and unique variations, "Kids Afternoon Tea" for our little guest's, smaller portions of the classic afternoon tea, served with cordials instead of tea. Or there's even a "Gentleman's Afternoon Tea" A macho treat comprising of pork pies, black pudding roll, mini cheeseburgers, monkey nuts, pork crackling, pickles salad and bottle of locally brewed Southport Beer.
