I was sat on the downstairs area and was shown my table by a very handsome young waiter. Who was very polite and helpful. The food was amazing ! Couldn't fault it. The waiting service in the Bay of Bengal restaurant were on top form and catered for everyone's needs in the facility. 10/10 service. A brilliant view from both... More

Great curry house with friendly and efficient staff. Restaurant owner remembered us from a previous visit last May which greatly impressed us! We enjoyed a good chat. If warm enough you can sit outside and enjoy an even better sea view which we did last May. It was a bit cold this time unfortunately but still enjoyed the sea view... More

The view over the harbour was fabulous as was the quality of the food and cooking. The superb meal was marred, however, by the unsubtle pressure to get us to complete the meal as quickly as possible to ensure the table was 'turned over' for the next lot of customers. As soon as our main meal was completed, we were... More

We have been here several times in the past, but dissatisfied tonight. Curries taste good, but very little meat, lots of sauce, small portion of rice, and bajis were nearly all onion, with very little mushroom or aubergine in dish. One course each, for two, £37. Not good value. Only saving grace is that you can take your own beer,... More

Called at 7.30 on a Friday night after walking out of another restraunt before eating. They found us a table with an exquisite view of the harbour. The starter and main meal were faultless and when the first taste hits you with a wow you know it's good. Don't know if it's always the case but when we went it... More

Called in without a reservation at peak time on a Saturday evening and they managed to squeeze us in. There are three eating areas, upstairs by the bar, down stairs overlooking the harbour and if it's warm enough, out on the balcony. We were down stairs over looking the harbour which was nice. I've seen a few negative comments about this... More

Well worth booking in advance in order to reserve one of the tables with a view. The restaurant is over 2 levels so there are quite a few. Food is South Indian so a little different to the usual offering. Good service. Soft drinks expensive.

Very friendly welcome from the staff. The food was good, served rapidly, the price absolutely correct. If you get there early some of the inside tables have a view of the harbour. (In summer you may be able to sit outside on the terrace) The restaurant also offers takeaway. Note that it is unlicensed, but on the next table the... More
