We go to the George and dragon, ilfracombe, mainly for their fortnightly singalong accompanied by local folk with their instruments. You can come along to listen, sing, sing and play, sing alone.......

Visited in Feb '17. Empty which is no problem but bar staff obviously bored. I didn't think it was possible to badly serve San Migel but I was proved wrong. Flat with a tang to it. Probably OK in the busy season.

Muy 20th year in Ilfarcombe and this is still the best pub. A whole pile of us were in there over the few days and we made noise, sang and made fun. The staff and locals joined and and we all had a great time. What a fantastic pub.

We were given a warm welcome and ordered drinks. Sat down for the quiz and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The landlord... More

Another enjoyable evening spent drinking in the George and Dragon before the boat to Lundy Island in the morning. An excellent traditional pub.

Wow Ive lived in Ilfracombe all my life and never been in the George and Dragon! On a tuesday night it was packed with local people supporting the charity quiz! Apartly it is like that all the time! This was nostalgic and above all, the best pint I had on the break. Lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by and inside was aolde worlde atmosphere with plenty of space and history to accomadate. Love this pub.
