Had a superb lunch at The Quay during a holiday in Devon. We were warmly welcomed and led to a lovely table on the upper floor, amazing views out to sea and interesting art on the walls. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious,...More

We like the look of this place even though we only wanted coffee and cake. The waitress was very accommodating and on a lovely sunny day sat outside watching the world go by with our refreshments. A really nice place to go for a light...More

We hadn't booked but were lucky to get a table in the top deck of upstairs, with fantastic view of the sea. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced, it was our favourite restaurant during our visit to Ilfracombe

My father, wife and I had a delicious lunch here in a window seat overlooking the sea. Spoilt for choice on fresh seafood starters we had 2 Bisques and a plate of Oysters. All delicious and with clearly home-made bread. One Hake special, one Cod...More

This was our first visit to The Quay, the staff were very helpful and friendly. An extensive menu and something for everyone. The Hake was very good indeed, as was the creme Brûlée. Definitely worth a visit.

Staying just under half an hour away, having done some homework before leaving for the weekend, this seemed to be one of the few places where one can 'dress up' on a Saturday night. Not disappointed, very smart and well decorated restaurant with friendly staff....More

The Quay restaurant in Ilfracombe is home to a unique and substantial collection of Damien Hirst's works. The classical fronted building has been beautifully restored and now relates well to the stunning views out to the Atlantic and the traditional harbour of this ancient port. Exmoor Angus beef served at The Quay has been bred within a few miles of the restaurant, and the Lundy crab and lobster is delivered on a daily basis by the fishermen who catch it just a few miles off shore. With a wine list to delight the heart of the average oenophile, and a stellar selection of West County cheeses and home-made desserts on the menu, The Quay is a genuine treat for discerning food and art lovers alike.
