Came here to meet up with friends before going to Grantown on Spey. We had tasty chilli on baked potatoes, flatbread, toasties and macaroni. Everything fresh and service was super.

Stopped by here heading south on the A9. Covid controls were in place but managed in a quietly efficient way. We had flatbread (home made) with brie, cranberry and streaky bacon which came with a delicious salad / coleslaw combo. Also had Lockerbie cheese and...pickle toastie on brown bread with salad and crisps. Food was superb, the surroundings nice and both the server and chef very pleasant. A great stopover for us natives and highly recommended for any tourists out there. Never mind shortbread tins oe 'och aye the noi' stereotypes.... Proper unshowy hospitality and excellent food. The true best of Scotland..... Well done.More

Our B&B recommended this place and the food was excellent. It is very small and so it is well worth booking a table.

Lovely restaurant with a very good chef , well worth a try. We had the venison which was as good as I have ever had well presented with a good selection of well cooked vegetables. It’s not licensed but a quick trip to the local...co op solved that problem.More

Delicious meal on Saturday 22nd August. Think we saved the best till last on our trip to Kingussie. Passed this wee gem so many times and finally booked for dinner tonight. Pate and Goat cheese starters were spot on and mains of venison and duck...were simply amazing. Nice touch that the busy chef came out to check on how we had enjoyed the meal. It was fabulous and I could not recommend this wee place enough...More

Pulled off the A9 for a quick bite to eat and we were blown away by the amazing food at cafe bistro! A huge selection of gluten free food, including one of the best carbonaras I’ve ever eaten along with gluten free garlic bread. Extremely...good prices and lovely staff. Would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone in the area.More

Attended here for a three course meal. It is bring your own bottle. Our meal was lovely but not the best. I had the turkey meal which was very dry and nothing special. The pate starter was very nice and a good portion. Not sure...if would visit again, however waiting staff pleasant.More

We were late for lunch and visited this place. Tried the soup of the day which was lentils soup and it was amazing. We had the following main dishes Creamy mushroom and pea risotto, Spaghetti carbonara & Seafood Tagliatelle. The Tagliatelle was amazing and was...left licking the dish. Had wanted to kiss the cooks hand for such a wonderful dish. The staff were very welcoming and cordial.More

We had already read the good reviews about this Bistro on TripAdvisor before visiting Kingussie. Once in the village, it soon became apparent this café was the most inviting of the others - and open late afternoon too. We liked the ambience in this little...bistro and it had a really good choice of food on offer. We really enjoyed our meal. Would highly recommend.More
