My experience was very unpleasant.
Last weekend we drove from Tallinn to Valkla beach to have lunch there. As the weather was very beautiful and warm, we hoped to enjoy lunch on the terrace. We thought that when the terrace was full, we would go elsewhere to eat. Definitely didn't want to sit indoors.
When we arrived, some of the tables on the terrace were free, but the waitress (probably the manager or the shift parent) did not allow us to sit in the yard. He claimed that the waitress there was overloaded and that is why we had to sit indoors. I asked that when the food had arrived, could we go outside .. then there was patience and dissatisfaction in him, and he said, "Yes, we will tell you when to go." I was shocked by this attitude. I felt that the customer was like a distracting redundant factor.
Unfortunately, the solution offered to us did not fit and we left.
Since I myself have worked in a restaurant as a waitress for years, this attitude is incomprehensible to me. If a colleague needs help, he / she should be helped, not run the client back as he / she is more comfortable! Besides, that restaurant was not even full of people that day, according to the eye it was 50% full.
Considering that a regular burger s priced at 15 €, you could also take into account the wishes of the client a bit, and not rush the client for your own convenience. I dont recommend it.More
Delighted to have such a nice place near to our summer house on the northern coast. Liis and the team are always super friendly, attentive, flexible and creative.
Food is delicious, fresh fish often available from local fishermen and the special Pavlova cake... mmmmm!
Location...on the beach is great for walks, after which one can take shelter in a cozy chair at the fireplace and enjoy a good relaxing vibe. Definitely recommended!More
Valkla Rand hits all the right notes for me -- scenic beachside location, elegant but laid-back interior, and fantastic food with great service.
We stumbled upon after hiking in Lahemaa, desperate for a late lunch, and now Valkla is our end of outing destination whenever...we are hiking or skiing in the area.
Finish your meal (and do not skip the terrific desserts) and then take a long walk on the beach.More
A very country chic restaurant. Inviting interior, coffee and cake by the fireplace on a slightly stormy winters day.
We had a light brunch with family but would come back for dinner too, cozy and romantic place with great food and friendly service.
