Good place on Liptovska Mara lake to stop and eat typical Slovakian food, as sheep cheese dumplings. They do good standard many years, good taste, simple, using proper ingredients, like it should be.

We've been in Liptovsky Mikulash, but everything was close because it is Sunday. So we chose this place, which really good surprised us. First, they do have breakfast ( serve till 10). Second, we were welcome to come with a dog ( and it is...very rare in SK). Third, the service is really fast and friendly. And of course food was yammy. Plus, they have nice panoramic view.More

Typical slovakian fast food style salas, not bad, not superb, just standard quality food, standard choice from local food and meals. Service not so fast, restaurant looks bussy at all times. Food was typically local, but as I say not supwrb but also not bad....Price for local probably higher, for turist looks OK.More

This restaurant used to be a good place, but not know. Quite dirty place, food isn't made from fresh products, staff is bad. View on Li'ptovska Mara can't save your enjoyment. Not recommended place.

Salas Dechtáre is our obligatory stop on the way to the Tatra Mountains. Right on the highway, on the shore of the lake Liptovská Mara, spacious parking, nice neighborhood. non-stop operation. The restaurant has a relatively large capacity, in summer you can sit on the...covered terrace. The terrace has stunning views of the dam Liptovská Mara and the skyline of West Tatras. The restaurant is not snobbish luxury facilities. The room is decorated with Slovak folk creativity. The restaurant is known specialties from sheep products, especially traditional Slovak Gnocchi (Topped with Soft Sheep Cheese from Liptov). Restaurant menu but also offers other specialties such as, for example cabbage soup (kapustnica) , Halaszle, Slovak gnocchi with cabbage and bacon, but also traditional dishes like Wiener pork shnitzel, Naturel shnitzel chicken and mushrooms, Fried fish fillet and others. For me it was a traditional topped with soft sheep cheese and bacon, this time without žinčica, (boiled whey from sheep's milk), which I am otherwise very liked. Daughter ordered fruit potato dumplings with blueberries that awaited season blueberries fresh fruit, but unfortunately it was just a jam. Part of the chalet is the sale of 100% sheep's cheese and cheese products of high quality from Zázrivá (smoked cheese, parenica, korbáčik). When driving on the highway around the lake and you want to taste traditional Slovak specialties as our mothers cooked, be sure to stop.More

OMG! Dirty, lazy staff, you have to wait half hour just to order. Only pros is view on Liptovska Mara.
