We visited our friend in her weekend home and on the way back to Bratislava we made stop at this restaurant. It is situated at the main road from Bratislava to Bodiky, just opposite the ferry on Gabcikovo dam. We had very tasty beans soup...with home made sausages called "Jokai", my husband had pork with spicy sauce and small dumplings, I had fried smoked cheese with fries and salad, our friend had chicken breast with fried potatoes, salad. All good portions and all very tasty. We had two 0.5 litre glasses of Slovak beers - one black and one light - gorgeous. When we read the menu we thought about to have a pudding after the main meal but the portions been so generous and we've been so full - we decided next time. As we are visiting our friends in Slovakia once a year there will be definitely next time. For everything we paid around 35 EURO. Oh, not to forget that we sit outside.More

We have stopped for a quich lunch during summer time on our trip from Gabcikovo. We just wanted to have a small stop to take a rest and have a fine food in hungarian csarda restaurant. We prefer local food, but unfortunatelly we were not...able to choose from restaurant menu - restaurant does not offer any special food which could surprise the quest so we decided only to order some coffee and desserts. Coffee was poor, just hot colored water, desserts were as "a teenage first cooking experience" quality. Does not worth for the stop. I would recommend waitresses to smile more, be customer friendly and for the restaurant owner to offer more quality for the price. After all I am sure I would never stop again.More

We had to stop cause of family hunger :-), food was very tasty, mostly hungarian and slovakian food. Stuff is very friendly, prices are fine. Garden is nice and cosy, inside is classic hungarian scarda.

It looked so nice from outside: a restaurant seated in an old building all covered up with ivy. In a nice weather you can enjoy sitting outside which was very pleasant. But: typical Hungarian soup halaszle was just average far from being a thick soup;...cucumbers in the salad were so bitter we couldn ´t eat it; my coffee was just a colored water; and on top of it all, the waitresses were smoking (!) in the area were people were eating and all of the guests could easily observe them. That´s inappropriate!More
