We came here for a drink and liked the interior so came back for a Sunday lunch. We both had lasagne, which was tasty and filling. It was quiet and relaxing. My kind of pub.

We've called in here for drinks a few time, always excellent range of Okells ales and a good choice of red and white wine. This time we drove straight from the airport for a late meal (9pm) and were served really good fish and chips. The batter was very light, the fish nice and fresh. There was a good Friday... More

Been several times for both lunch and drinks at night, on all occasions was busy. Very nice interior and great atmosphere. The music was fitting, the service was polite and friendly, not too long waiting time, clean and tidy all round. Serves great coffee and a very large selection of drinks, particularly gins. On a warm sunny day it is... More

Went to the British twice over the weekend firstly for a drink on the Friday night. Good atmosphere and choice of drink. The second visit was for Sunday lunch. The lamb was lovely with a good choice of vegetables. Good friendly service on both visits.

4 adults & 2 year old, we popped in for lunch. We were made welcome, and had a most enjoyable meal; four different meals plus a child's and all satisfied with the quality, we would happily return. It would be nice to be offered a side order of vegetables as only 1 of the four came with much more than... More

Just off chance myself and the wife called in and asked if they did Sunday lunch whilst passing . They did and we sat upstairs which is all decorated to a high standard , we both had homemade soup followed by a Sunday roast , both of which were excellent . Would highly recommend trying it out .

I've gone to several training conference and events in the Embassy Rooms. Food changes with each change of management. The current team surpassed themselves. Various salads, chicken skewers, pasty slices, potato salad and prawns in batter. All moist, fresh and well cooked presented. Perfect.
