Went for lunch with 6 other ladies. Nice room to have drinks. Bread and olives we're waiting on the dining table. Pleasant staff. Had Beetroot and Feta starter, Fishcakes, then Creme Brûlée. All we're really lovely, and nicely presented, but the Main meal was too...More

Went for Sunday lunch on wife’s birthday. It is more expensive than we would usually pay, but well worth it. In fact worth every penny. Service brilliant, food superb, lovely ambience. All in all a great eating experience.

the service was very good, unlike the food. All five of our party agreed that the food was very bland, very underseasoned. Those of us that had vegetables on our plates also agreed that though we enjoy Al-dente, these were closer to raw - even...More

The menu was not long but seemed full of choice. In the end we opted for the Christmas semi-set menu and the choice proved a good one. The service was attentive but not a constant 'in your face'. The place was busy but we were...More

It's OK. Been a few times before reviewing it. It's just fine. Inoffensive and adequate but for me no more than that. Staff seem not so attentive. We had to ask for everything rather than being offered. Drinks. Condiments. Dessert. Coffee. All of these we...More

We were a party of 9 at a work Christmas Dinner and were very well looked after. Restaurant is gorgeous inside, very elegant. The bar was cosy (a little too warm at one point with 9 of us, but we had fun). Drinks are reasonably...More

Once a year all family meet back in the North East - this venue recommended for a family gathering. Table for nine in ‘private’ room - good, efficient service and the food/wine was excellent. Very reasonably priced too.

So this is our second visit to Finbarr’s who moved premises a while ago ... we ate there a few years back at the original location and were impressed then. This time was no different. Great decor and atmosphere with subdued lighting - very relaxing...More

Wonderful early evening meal enjoyed at Finbarrs. Lovely warm atmosphere, superb, delicious food and good attentive service. Yes - on the pricey side but worth every penny for the experience. Would absolutely recommend.

Great food - staff good One small thing let it down - Bread and butter and olives already on the table when we arrived, butter was rank and difficult to say how long olives had been there or indeed how many customers had them on...More

Grandad will love it, one in our party has mobility issues and she was fine. It isn't cheap, but then i didn't find it extortionately expensive either.
