Stopped for Sunday Lunch after a long walk with friends and their dog - although the Pub was very busy, our food arrived quickly was very well presented and delicious. Cullen Skink strongly recommended, as is the Hawkshead beer. We sat outside on the terrace - the heaters were very welcome! Staff very friendly and efficient.

We saw this restaurant on trip advisor and thought we might give it a go. We were in Bowness for a few days and we wanted a nice traditional pub meal. The restaurant is about 15 minutes out of Bowness but worth the trip. The pub has a friendly atmosphere and very pleasant staff. We ordered fish and chips and... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our 2 year anniversary in the Strawberry Bank Suite - which is such a beautiful room. So convenient with a small kitchen and an open room deep bath - in addition to the shower in the bathroom - this was perfect for soaking after long walks! The restaurant at the Masons Arms is... We set off from Black Beck knowing we wanted to find this pub, but not knowing exactly where it was. After an hour and half walk we literally turned a bend and there it was. Cosy, warm, beautiful decor, very welcoming and friendly staff. Food was lovely, service was great, and we loved our little pit stop before our long... More

Met friends here. Out of the fog loomed a white wall which said Inn. First impression was what a quaint, cosy pub full of nooks and crannies and the smell of the coal fire lured me in from a cold, murky, misty day giving me a virtual hug. Ordered the roast beef Sunday lunch and it is the best roast... More

I love the place and the ambiance . Lovely old inn with roaring fires. The food though lets it down a bit . The portion sizes are way too large . Lots of bread /chips etc . I would return again and probably have 2 starters.

This is such a little gem of a place. I fell in love with it as soon as I walked through the door. The staff are on hand with friendly advice and a warm welcome throughout your stay. I found the rooms extremely accommodating, clean and comfortable. A bit of a walk from Bowness on Windermere but for a few... More

The thing with this pub is that to get a table in the bar on a lunchtime you must get there for 12 on the dot. We got a good seat by the fire. Ten minutes later it was full. I had Cajun chicken burger which was very nice. My wife had ham sandwich. My son had a chicken baguette... More
