Quaint little cafe with excellent coffee. Worth a visit when visiting Bowness on Windemere. The food menu looks promising as well with home made snacks, will definitely try that on our next visit.More

We LOVE our coffee and I reluctantly have to admit that it has nothing to do with my limited barista skills but is all about the producers, Carvetii Coffee, who work their magic at their Cumbrian roastery! Look forward to seeing you in the future,...More

Many thanks for the great review and really pleased you enjoyed the food. I'm working on some vegan cakes recipes at the moment but have to admit making cakes without eggs (that taste as good) is proving to be taxing! I'll take a look at...More

Very homely and lovely. Quiet and quaint. Delighted with the food and service. A wet day in the Lake District, so nice warm food. We had BBQ flatbread, Baked Eggs with Beans, and Spanish Chorizos. And also the variety of hot chocolate. Yummy 😋 Wonderful...More

Visited for the first time and shared the beef chilli flat bread and the Spanish stew - both were outstanding and would definitely recommend to friends and family visiting the lakes. Very friendly and welcoming. Nice little touches like dog bowls and biscuits. 5*

We thought this would be a good place for a light lunch, and so it proved. It's a very small venue, but there are tables outside on a potentially sunny terrace. There is a range of imaginative savoury brunch dishes and some nice homemade cakes,...More

We went having read so many good reviews, and it was excellent. The place is basic with limited seating (some outside), and it’s all very relaxed. We chose a variety of dishes to share, and were very impressed with how good they all were. Portions...More

Thanks for the review, we are the smallest cafe in Bowness so we are limited in size but not quality! Glad you enjoyed your visit.

My partner and I came here for a spot of breakfast instead of paying extortionate prices for bog standard hotel breakfast, we were not disappointed! He had banana pancakes, which were delicious, and I had the poached eggs with spinach on a toasted bagel. Everything...More

Many thanks for the comments, we know the hotel's & B&B's have cornered the market for cooked breakfast so have try to offer something a little different - it's great to know you enjoyed it and thanks for coming to find us.
