Great pub, with outdoor seating that is lovely on a nice day. Inside is very cleverly decorated as well. Nice folks and lots of beer and other alcohol of course. Try the strawberry lime cider! We had a great Tim.

It was our first visit to Bowness, but HitW is in my top five pubs of all time. A broad selection of local brews, an incredible collection of curios (so spotless they must be dusted every day), a pub where you can feel the history...More

What a lovely little pub food is amazing. Cosy and warm with log fires. Food was delicious. Fish pie is an an absolute must try.

Wonderful meal in Hole int'Wall. Can recommend the fish pie it came with salad, prawns coleslaw and bread roll. A proper hearty meal. The pub is quite small inside and you may have to wait a while for a table but well worth the wait

Came here with friends on a day trip. This pub is a little off the Main Street - but lovely! No fancy drinks just standard drinks. Very small inside but lovely and quirky. Recommended

A great experience to enjoy real ale in this superb authentic old y worldly pub! A sense of history, nostalgia and distant visions of 'Charles Dickens, enjoying similar, makes it an essential experience. Not to be missed on ones travels to this locality!
