Average is the word that sums this place up. Carvery was ok but really missed parsnips and dark green veggies like peas and Broccoli.

We stopped off here for an early dinner to be welcomed by a very unfriendly lady who gave the impression that she really could not be bothered. Food was ok but the chief needs to learn how to cook steaks.

The place looks a little tired and dated but the food was excellent. I had scallops and my partner- soup. Both of which were extremely good. Worth a visit

We were staying nearby and fancied Sunday lunch at a pub. We booked the Elm Tree as it had some good reviews. We weren't disappointed. There was a very hearty carvery waiting to be served and it seems very popular. I'm not a fan as I don't relish queuing for my food ( reminds me of school dinners) so we... More

the new owners do it proud. The Sunday lunch was surprisingly delicious. The meets were tender and tasty, all veg, good selection, cooked very well. A good healthy bite in them and flavoursome. The roast potatoes, fluffy inside and outside with a delicious, i think goose fat, coating, just yummy.

Pleasant enough carvery, selection of vegetables a little sparse , roast potatoes not crispy & Yorkshire puddings a little over cooked. Restaurant fairly busy with a nice atmosphere although decor/toilets could do with some TLC. Front of house lady a little stern upon arrival but overall staff were helpful & friendly. Would visit again if in the area but probably... More

The elm tree inn Langton herring Weymouth - excellent pub! Had a good lunch and good beer here. Highly recommended with a good range of simple bar meals to gastro pub meals. We will go back no doubt. Some good walking from here too on the coast path.

About 1 mile off the Weymouth to Bridport Coast Rd., it is worth popping in for a meal if you are passing. We went in for dinner (website says closed 11-14.30). Quiet but a very friendly welcome, and a menu displayed on boards. I could have done without the local book club sitting on a table right next to us... More

Went with my family for dinner on Sunday. No atmosphere at all woman serving seemed stressed but we decided to stay as we'd travelled for 10 miles to come here on a recommendation. We ordered our starters and mains and starters were absolutely adequate. 2 of us ordered the roast which was clearly left over from lunch but again was... More
