We called in here on a very cold and wet afternoon when we were staying nearby. The owners are lovely people and we were made to feel very welcome. We hadn't realised that they closed at 4.30pm but we were not made to feel we had to rush. We both had the tea and scones with jam and clotted cream.... More

First visit here and it will not be my last...lovely décor and ambience, nice relaxed atmosphere...very quick table service by friendly waitress. we ordered Paninis from the menu, really tasty, well presented and good portions for the price (one of the nicest paninis I've had in a long time too)..

We called in here in a small group on a busy Saturday lunchtime, having failed to get a table elsewhere. We were welcomed warmly and, in spite of a very full restaurant, we were quickly found a table. The food was excellent, with a varied selection of meals familiar and less so. We all ordered the same, and all very... More

Have been to this restaurant many times and never been disappointed. The staff are very good and today especially the gentleman serving behind the counter who made a special effort to find us a table as soon as possible, even though the restaurant was very busy. Had a very tasty lunch as always at very reasonable prices. You can open... More

Thank you for your very kind comments it is really appreciated. After the incredibly busy few weeks we have just had, for the sake of our sanity, we may need to put expansion plans on hold!! More

We came in here, expecting a lovely relaxed atmosphere. It was so hectic and busy- we were ignored by staff(we weren't seated at a table- they just seemed to ignore us) We wanted to have an afternoon tea- something that seems as if it was one of their specialities.... and then we were told they were too busy! I have... More

If you had booked a luxury afternoon tea we would have shown you to a table already set with a crisp white table cloth in a relaxed setting upstairs in The Georgian Room. Our chefs would have already prepared for each of you 4 different finger sandwiches, a dressed salad, 3 different miniature cakes finished with fresh cream and fruit... More

We'd skipped lunch on way to Minster, got sidelined by charity shops and finally dropped into Kavanagh's for something hot and quick late in the afternoon. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the staff attentive. We opted for a Lincolnshire-sausage and egg sandwich and a bacon buttie with a pot of tea. The three (complete) sausages were plump and... More

With so many coffee shops in Beverley now, it's difficult to choose where to go. My wife suggested Kavanaghs as she likes the coffee, and as a tea drinker I'm happy enough with that. It used to have a no pram policy, which greatly annoyed us with small children, but we always ended up going back. Thankfully we dump the... More
