Spent a couple of honeymoon nights here. Really good location in Callander. So much character in the style of hotel. I use the phase 'old fashioned' but not in a bad way at all, it is full of charm and the staff were very friendly. However, we booked through booking.com and left a special request for the breakfast as my... More

We have just returned from a brilliant weekend break here . The room was lovely , comfortable and immaculate. The locals in the bar are very friendly and contributed to us both having a brilliant time . Can't fault anything at all , lovely breakfast selection and cooked well. Will definately be back soon.

Bar area is very small and feels like you're in somebody's back lounge but the locals were friendly and made us feel welcome..as did the black Labrador :D

The Crags is on the high street in Callander, very handy, just down the street from our B&B, so we walked there for dinner. The dining room was quiet and we had an enjoyable meal.

Watched Football match (Scotland vs Germany, not a good result). Interesting to hear the local comments and enjoy some fine brews and malts

We enjoyed our dinner. The food was excellent and had a great presentation. The restaurant is small and is conveniently located in the middle of Callander. There was lively bar attached to the restaurant, but separate, so our dining experience was quieter and more intimate.

We had an amazing evening meal and breakfast (two mornings) here. The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Staff were very attentive too. We were expecting an ordinary hotel evening meal, but we were very wrong! It was more like something we would get from an upmarket city restaurant. The cooked breakfast was non-greasy and very tasty.... More

Only called here for drinks (although they also do food). This is obviously Callanders "locals" bar of choice and all the better for it. The beers are good and at good prices but it's the friendliness of the customers which impresses most - they are such characters, interesting and very welcoming. This is a real bar full of real people... More
