Fabulous stay at the wonderful relaxing small hotel. Food to dye for, the steak and chip offer incredible, they know how to cook a steak the way you want, well done. The staff excellent, friendly, helpful and knowledge on the area. The location is excellent to explore either by car or on foot. All in all and great find. Six... More

Great food and great bar. Visited as a non resident, very enjoyable. Bar has a different feel than most in Christchurch, well worth a visit.

We held out 40th wedding anniversary dinner for 38 people in the hotel's private dining room. Our food was excellent although service was somewhat slow. The event was professionally managed by Sophie and all our guests enjoyed the evening. The hotel itself is modern and has a warm up and comfortable feel to it.

A very good evening for a New Year's Eve event. 4 course quality dinner for 80 and a disco downstairs. They used the new wedding banqueting suite. I liked the mixing of groups on the tables. Good service. Good idea with own bar area. Overall excellent.

We took my parents out for Christmas Day. The atmosphere was awesome. As soon as you walked through the door you were greeted by friendly staff. The whole atmosphere was just awesome. The Christmas day menu was ab fab. The food was really good and there were gaps between each course. This is a place I would definitely recommend to... More

What a disappointment. The Kings Arms understandably has a good reputation, but this all counts for nothing if they can not manage disruptive guests who ruin it for other diners. We met with friends for a Friday evening meal and catch up. But an early office Christmas party on the other side of the restaurant was way out of hand... More

The decor and ambiance are very good, lovely table linen and generous sized tables. The service is pretty good too, with staff taking coats from you to put in the cloak room. Unfortunately although the presentation of the food was good the main course and vegetables were seriously over salted which was a disappointment at £25 per head for a... More

We dine here more than any other restaurant, staff are lovely and the food superb! If you like a help yourself buffet with a ton of food then this isn't the place for you, if you like top quality food balanced so you enjoy 2 or 3 courses with wonderful flavors and fresh ingredients then you have to try here!... There were 4 of us and we had a lovely meal. The starters were excellent, cheese souffle, crab with poached egg and hollandaise , terrine and avocado on toast. 2 of our mains were roast beef - very good and my fish was quite plain but good. One of us ordered a chicken pie, but it had mash on top... More
