We went for lunch and stayed all afternoon and into the evening. Relaxed, friendly and informal. Good food, service and made to feel welcome. Lovely setting by the river with sun terrace which on a sunny afternoon makes for the perfect day. We can't wait to do it again.

I dined here on 11/03/17. The service was excellent & the food was superb. Nice ambience. We had lunch, which was lovely. I look forward to returning. The restaurants not intimate or cosy, but great views & great ambience. The food & service makes up for it. Great value compared to other fine dining venues.

Superb service from this lovely hotel with a wonderful view over the river Stour and Wick ferry. Well positioned for walking into the centre of Christchurch (gentle stroll) or a more robust hike to Hengistbury Head with its, lovely beach huts - smashing £5.00 ferry back to the jetty outside the hotel if you don't fancy the return walk.

Nothing negative to say about this beautiful hotel on the water. Rooms are very clean and comfortable with great amenities. We shared a suite with friends and enjoyed having the lounge to relaxat the end of sightseeing. Highly recommended.

If you want a quiet place to visit and have a reasonably priced drink.....don't visit here. The furniture is far too soft for comfort and too low to try and eat at. It is evident that this is a popular watering hole. Regretfully, I cannot envisage visiting it again myself.

Thank you for your review and I am sorry you feel that you will not be returning. We are indeed a very popular venue, which has to be a good thing, and I must advise for others reading this feedback that may never have visited that in addition to the newly installed lounge soft furnishing we also have both a... Visited for half day spa. Good value with treatment as the facials are excellent. We are local and do visit occasionally and the hotel is good for drinks and a night out. The spa is small and too limited for a whole day but if coupled with treatment it's adequate and the ladies are very professional and nice. The only... More
