We were staying at Bracelands close by and could not check in until 4pm so we went to The New Inn for a drink and lunch. We had chicken and chips in a basket meal. Service was good and food was lovely.

We arrived 30 minutes late after a problem with our car - for a booking we had re confirmed the same day. We apologised on arrival but were immediately told we couldn't have our table because another party had arrived ahead of us - this despite the fact there was at least one free table large enough for our party.... Went here a couple of evenings as we were staying close by. Staff are all very friendly and helpful, food is great - make sure you have an appetite before you go as portions are on the generous side.

We visited mid week for lunch as we were staying nearby. We had the lasagne and faggots. The meals were first class and good value. When we visited it was not busy, but with the quality of food and reasonable prices I would think it could get busy.

All the food was excellent and arrived together, hot and massive portions, the drink the same, lovely atmosphere created by the equally lovely staff. Lovely pub, a bit pricey and book ahead of you want to eat at busy times. Wonderful garden at the back with a small play area for children, dog friendly inside and out.
