My husband and myself went on Saturday night for dinner. Would strongly recommend booking well in advance for a Saturday night as we booked at the start of last week and there was very little availability. We had an enjoyable meal. The food arrived quickly, was tasty and hot. As numerous previous reviewers have stated it is quite a costly restaurant. All sides appear to be extra and the main fish and meat dishes are quite expensive. Pasta and pizza dishes are more reasonable. We weren't waited on by one person. Over the course of the meal we probably dealt with 5 members of waiting staff. This didn't bother us but thought it a bit unusual. The thing that I really did find fault with was the entrance we had to use to enter and exit the restaurant. There was a sign on the front main entrance to use the rear entrance. This was a single door at the rear of the property and the doorstep was littered with cigarettes. Obviously where the smokers go. On leaving the restaurant the extractor fan, which is just beside this door was working full pelt and the wind blowing steam across the door. So got all dressed up to have to walk through a plume of extractor fan steam that smelt of food and was quite frankly was nothing short of disgusting. I would go back to francos on a return visit to enniskillen. But if I had to use that entrance again it would be the last time!

This place really is busy and you should book to ensure you get a table ! Inside it has a lovely rustic decor , quite dark but it suits just fine . Tables for all amount of guests which is great for large parties of people . Good choice of food off a few different menus so really that should suit everybody . We found the staff to be attentive and very pleasant . Service was fine and the food came out fairly quickly for a very busy place . Our meal was delicious and piping hot as well as the plates . Price wise the meals were ok but the desert in my opinion was way overpriced . The cost was £6.45 for a slither of banoffee pie , really a very small portion for the price ! Apart from this we did enjoy our meal here and if we are down here again we would not hesitate to come here . Definitely worth a visit

We have avoided Franco's for years because of the previously appalling service, so it was with misgivings that we booked recently..... What a change! From booking to table service, the attitude has changed utterly. We noted the good Covid precautions too, with well spaced tables and facemasks. The food was great. We had two courses each, with the curry chicken spring roll being the best starter. The Sea bass was the best main, though the perfectly-cooked sirloin came a close second. There is a broad wine list, and our house Shiraz was pretty good. We'd have liked more vegetables with the dishes. The only reservation we had was the price. Two courses each plus the wine and a shared side order came to £86. A little expensive for Enniskillen, though not for some other towns, I'm sure. Overall, I'm now glad to be able to recommend Franco's at last!

We were a group of six who visited Franco’s on a Friday evening. Our order was taken quickly but an hour and a half later we were still waiting on our main course. When we questioned the waitress we were advised that there was a large party in another part of the restaurant. We waited for a further 30 minutes before our food was served. The quality of the food was excellent but, when you book a table for 8.00pm it is unacceptable to wait until 10.00pm for the food to be served.

Went with some work colleagues. Went into a new restaurant to start with no one in there, including behind the bar! After a few minutes we realised there was a door to the older part of the restaurant where everybody was - whew! Very low lighting - we had a candle on our table with no light above - so had to get my phone out to put the light on (felt like I was at a concert during the love song). When we heard a waiter come by we asked for more light and he promptly brought another candle. After seeing my work colleagues across from me I nearly asked him to take I away. Food was a mix of Italian and a French, and was plentiful and delicious. If you like garlic then this is for you. If you’re not that keen on it then stay away from any dishes with it in. I think they have shares in a garlic farm (not complaining I love it 😋) Perfect place to go for a romantic meal for two, not a work meal with 3 burly blokes! Definitely worth a try.

Booked Franco’s for today lunchtime for friends catch up , the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and staff made us feel so welcome. There were 6 of us and from the curried spring rolls to garlic mushrooms, mains herb crusted lamb, duck , pizza , sides and desserts 🍨 the food was faultless , full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We are from Monaghan, Sligo , Leitrim and Omagh and looking forward to our next meal here. I’ll definitely be back in few weeks with my husband . Think this will be my regular go to restaurant 😊

We visited Francos with high hopes as I had eaten here years ago and enjoyed it and locally it has a good reputation. On arrival we were seated in a small alcove by a very brusque waitress. The staff the ignored us for the next 15 minutes. We had to look for a waiter to get us a drink. We perused the massively overpriced pizza menu (average £16 for a 3 topping pizza) and put our orders in. We had considered wine but at average, a whopping £30 a bottle decided against. The cheapest red house wine was priced at £28.50! My partner ordered a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and was presented with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc which had to be returned. My pizza was tasty enough but when I asked for black pepper, the waiter brought a couple of sachets of pepper and salt on a saucer! I would have expected fresh ground pepper in a pizza restaurant. My partner's meal was supposed to be chicken satay. This consisted of 3 small dry pieces of chicken on skewers, a small bowl of rice and a bowl of satay sauce which looked and tasted like it was out of a jar. Poor value at over£18. Overall a very underwhelming and disappointing dining experience. Service, food and value has gone seriously downhill at this restaurant. The pricing on the wine list is comedic especially for a pizza restaurant. I'm afraid it's adios from us as customers.

Excellent ppe in place. Drinks and starter served in under 10 mins even though very busy. Mains didn’t arrive for almost 50mins. All the food was perfect but we waited for dessert menu only to be told by waitress we needed to leave table in 10 mins. Manager apologised and told us it was only 90 mins per sitting. It is difficult times for restaurants and the government mon to wed deals obviously helped them. I would certainly recommend this place for the food.

We had an amazing meal at Franco’s last week this beautiful cosy restaurant was recommended by a friend. We hadn’t booked and the restaurant was busy however we were shown to a lovley cosy table by jorgie our waiter who asked us was this our first visit and told us all about the history of the restaurant and that it had stayed in the same family from it opened. Jorgie then introduced us to the owner Rory who was walking past the table and he also stopped for a chat. We ordered a beautiful bottle of red wine and the most delicious cheesey garlic bread which was made from soft fresh crusty bread. We both opted for pizza as a main and it was one of the most delicious pizzas we have ever had. We had no room for the sweets but they looked homemade and amazing. Rory then came over as he was leaving to ask how the meal had been and told us there was a complimentary drink behind the bar for us!. Do not hesitate to try this beautiful cosy Italian the food is amazing and the staff are fantastic. We can’t wait to return Thankyou so much Jorgie and Rory for a lovely meal and evening at Franco’s

Went here for a special birthday for my significant other, after many years absence. Couldn't believe how busy it was for an earl Thursday evening- obviously the power of the early bird menu. We got a nice table for 2, beside the main window and after I got the radiator that was right behind me turned down, settled down for our nice meal. I had the squid in black pepper batter and my wife had mushrooms in garlic sauce. Both very nice. For my main I had duck breast in jus. Only a couple of pieces of veg came with this, so I had to order a side of potato Grattan. My wife ordered pork and chicken pieces in sauces with rice. Unfortunately what she actually got served with the meat was cous cous! Not good. And the pork was mostly fat. So 3 out of our 4 dishes, all of the early bird menu, were quite tasty. But at £65, inc a bottle of wine, still not great value. And while the food was ok, you felt quite claustrophobic as the tables were fairly well jammed in. Not sure if we'll be rushing back or not.

Myself and my wife went to Francos for a meal last night. We arrived in and were seated promptly. Nice atmosphere initially until we saw what appeared to be either the manager or owner reprimand a young female member of staff in a most ignorant and condescending way in full ear shot and view of us. Completely ruined the atmosphere for both of us for the rest of the evening. Staff in restaurants work hard for minimum wage and don’t deserve to be treated like this. The same manager came to our table to take a drinks order and came across pretty ignorant to us also. The rest of the staff that dealt with us were impeccable. If a member of staff needs guidance it should not be done in front of customers and the staff member should be treated with respect. On the basis of what we witnessed that member of staff being treated like we won’t be back. It would be wiser that the male manager take a leaf out of the book of his female staff members in how to conduct himself in front of customers. To top it all of we paid £98 for a starter and main course and 1 drink each for the privilege of his bad manners to staff and a ‘standard’ meal

Damn bad show. We just turned up at lunch time today 13 June 2021, to an empty restaurant, as the sign outside alleged it was open all day as we drove by. This town isn't the place to be for a delightful Sunday lunch. We had to drive round the back of this place and uphill to park up, as it's double yellow lines all round the front area. It was open. The bloke in front of us was just inside the narrow front entrance. He was trying to book a table for tonight. He said two people, then maybe three and within a few moments he has reached an equally uncertain four. It didn't matter to him that he was blocking the entrance nor that we were stood outside as he chopped and changed his mind and despite being cloudy 19c there was a breeze that made standing in short sleeved shirts unpleasant. As I listened to him it crossed my mind that he was just bored and maybe he had no intention of dining here this evening rather just whiling away the hours and why not just ring. There isn't much to do in Enniskillen centre Sunday lunch time. Mind you the time this was taking to arrange he could still be there this evening. We stood outside waiting and waiting as the young lady sat staring at a computer screen. She appeared to be having huge difficulty in completing what should have been a simple and straightforward transaction. We became impatient as it was clear at least that the staffer had no idea how to interrogate the computer reservation system. You’d think she would at least have an iota on availability just a few hours hence on the same day. We could see and hear other staff inside and are sure they saw us to. So we had enough, it was getting chilly in the breeze and they sure weren’t that interested in us. So over a year out of work isn’t sufficient to focus minds on customers who make pay days. Wow. They appear not to get the fact that they are in the business of hospitality.

My partner and I found this place via the internet as we aren’t from enniskillen and thought we would give it a try. It stated online it opened at 12pm so we arrived around 12:20pm (with a sign outside saying open all day). We walked in and immediately felt unwelcome - we were coldly greeted by 3 people at the front desk who when asking could we get a table one of the staff members responded saying they don’t open until 12:30 but we should try the cafe round the corner. Despite having wanted to eat in this place we felt so unwelcome & an inconvenience to even wait for 10 mins until it opened but they would rather send us round the corner elsewhere. Won’t give it a try again as they quite obviously don’t appreciate the custom. As for food, couldn’t tell you what it tastes like as just about made it past the front door.

The food here is extremely average, the service is awful & it’s unbelievably expensive. I ordered the devils hot bread, which is nowhere near as nice as it used to be, and the steak. The steak came with 2 onion rings and 3 cooked tomatoes… that was it!! The staff are actually quite rude, ignored us for the first 25 minutes and forgot one of the starters. We also were given dessert menus and then were told that they needed the table back in 10 minutes so if we wanted anything we’d need to eat it quickly. It’s the last time I will visit this restaurant…

Taking advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out offer, we visited Franco's this evening. Although the restaurant was relatively full, we were served very quickly and the food, a pizza and ribs - were piping hot and very tasty. The staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. A lovely meal!
