Enjoyed a return visit to a favourite tearoom when we are in South Lakes. Lovely to peruse the tea choices on the menu. Rather disappointed there was so little choice of gluten free for our friend as it advertised as available.

Came to Grange Over Sands because I had passed on the train and it looked very nice. It is very nice , genteel to be accurate. It had a feel of a time gone by when I would have imagined Victorians would have come here...More

It looked lovely from the outside with such fantastic looking breads that we had to go in. Luckily there was a spare table as it seemed very busy. We were served with the most delicious Thai fish cakes and goujons with peas. So so glad...More

Breakfast was ok, we had a sharing platter, which really at £16 was overpriced but it was tasty. Main complaint was the wait. It was busy but we waited 15 mins for our tea/coffee & a further 20 for the breakfast. Obviously it was cooked...More

We just stopped off for a tea and cake. What a superb choice of teas. The pastries we had were very tasty, but did not fully match the delightful decor and ambience of the surroundings. We would definitely give it another try though, perhaps we...More

Description
The Hazelmere in Grange over Sands has been owned by The Stubley family for 38 years. Dorothy, the proprietor has set the standards very high and only serves the best quality, locally sourced foods where possible. We have a beautiful Tea House where our meals are served and in the summer months we have the option of eating out on our front of house terrace. We also have a deli bakery on site where you can select delicious take away lunches for you to enjoy in the ornamental gardens across the road or you can eat in our take away courtyard. In the evenings from March up until November the Hazelmere turns into a very high class restaurant, booking is recommended as we do get very busy, exceptional meals produced by our very talented and experienced chefs. Everything is made in house and our bakers make all the produce through the night so its as fresh as can possibly be when it goes on our counter. We continue to strive to bring to our customers the best products around and take great satisfaction from this. Our excellent teams of waiting on staff and shop and back of house staff ensure the smooth running of such a large business. We look forward to welcoming you to the Hazelmere !
