Well the staff were friendly and that's where it ended. Up in Great Yarmouth for a family event and got to have fish and chips while there. Wish I hadn't bothered. Fish was small thin and tasteless my partner wanted hot dog no onions and I think it came with half a sack of them on it the other two... More

For a usually busy restaurant, the service is very good, with helpful staff and truly wonderful fish and chips. We always make a point of visiting if possible, just make sure you leave enough room!

We found this restaurant as most chip shops where closed. Wasn't overly busy so we thought we would go inside to eat. We was welcomed by friendly happy staff. The kids meals we thought were excellent value for money! Food was all freshly cooked and tasted great. Mushy peas where great apparently (not my choice of food!). I would use... More

Visited the take away part last October and went again this March 2017. Don't eat battered fish much these days cos I am usually disappointed, but my cod was delicious both times. Melt in the mouth batter and I couldn't eat all the chips. My daughter had the mushy peas as well and pronounced them excellent.

On a cold day we discovered this Harry Ramsdens on the seafront and as I haven't been to one since the Guisley original in the late 60s / early 70s, thought we would give it a try. The £7.99 pensioners/60s club special menu. Fish, chips, tartare sauce, tea or coffee and a Pudding. Served by a lovely young waitress who... More

Been to a handful of these around the UK. Always fresh and piping hot. I like to think local fish are used but staff were not sure. Mushy peas reminded me of school dinners but that was a positive. This is pricy compared to other places but it is consistent

Excellent service and quality of food, despite the fact that we were the only people in the restaurant (it was the night of the storm Doris and very windy and wet). The waitress was excellent and very cheery - excellent customer service and the food was lovely (fish chips and peas). We always look for "Harry's" if we fancy good... More

The nicest fish and chips I've had in a very long time the chips were delicious and the crispy skin on the cod was amazing! Such friendly nice accommodating staff great eating place for a quick bite or a main meal! I would highly recommend trying a meal here if you are visiting Great Yarmouth.

Description
Harry Ramsden's serve the same great quality fish and chips today that they have been since 1928. The brand was established 80 years ago, when Harry Ramsden opened his first takeaway store in a hut in Guiseley. His top-quality fish and chips brought people from near and far and it wasn't long before Harry's became the most famous fish and chip shop brand in the world. The fish is freshly prepared in Harry's kitchens daily and has that distinctive flavour revered the world over. The menu includes the world-famous battered fish with its closely guarded secret recipe, as well as an extensive choice of mouth-watering options and a fantastic children's menu, to satisfy all the family. There are 13 Harry's restaurants across the United Kingdom, from seaside locations such as Blackpool and Bournemouth to high street restaurants and Southampton city centres, so you're never far from a Harry's.
